Hikers attacked by black bears in the Mount Wilson San Gabriel Mts east of Los Angeles CA. These were non-life threatening injuries.

Here's the kicker that is sure to thrill CA hikers and campers:

"The larger and more bellicose grizzly bear was wiped out in the state more than 90 years ago, *although in recent years there has been a modest campaign to reintroduce the animal here."

Yet more proof Environmental-wackos want to kill you. Introducing Grizzlies in a state that all but forbids legal firearm carry and usage on public property..

Another attack by teleporting bears.

They’re ruthless.

I did some research on this a few weeks ago. Apparently black bear attacks are VERY rare (11 deaths in the continental US is 120 years) but are usually caused by a male stalking prey, often for hours. So yeah, they WILL come out of nowhere.

But they are nowhere near as dangerous as Grizzlies or Polar bears. And the people that actually study these animals have no problem hanging around them and even petting them, though you can get nipped or slapped.

bear that 'came out of nowhere'

No, the bear was relaxing in his living room someone decided to hike through his house. Castle law. You're allowed to beat down anyone who comes into your abode without your permission.

No that’s not what it shows

Some folks aren’t smart enough or aware enough of their surroundings to be in the mountains

Is this an undocumented alien?
Is he/she a California citizen?
Did he/she mean to hurt his ‘victim’?
Does he/she belong to BLM? (Bear Lives Matter)
If not California citizen was he/she properly vetted?
Who did the Bear vote for? (Assume absentee ballot if hibernating season in effect)

Did the hiker have a little bell and spray with pepper spray?

In June, a 120-pound black bear was euthanized after it injured a man who was camping above Altadena in the Angeles National Forest.

A real shame. The bear was an aspiring rapper who was just starting to turn his life around.

Downtown San Francisco, Berkeley, Pelosi’s vineyard, and Hollywood are all GREAT spots to release wild bellicose grizzlies!

A lot of bears associate humans with food because hikers and campers are careless about trash and cleanup, and the bears, who are intelligent, become habituated.

If you have both a lot of humans and a lot of bears in the same space, you are going to have trouble. People need to accept that if they insist on visiting the wilderness, it’s going to be, well, wild.

There’s talk on the street, it sounds so familiar
Great expectations, everybody’s watching you
People you meet they all seem to know you
Even your old friends treat you like you’re something new

Johnny come lately, the new bear in town
Everybody loves you, so don’t let them down

I’m thinking the bear came from somewhere.

It is the wild after all. Hint: Home to bears...

Those Californians should most certainly bring back the grizzly bear. Heck, bring in hundreds of thousands of them.

I hike up in that area often and know a little of the history. As late as 1940 there were Grizzlies and Brown Bears up there - thousands of Black bears too
