Still trending well in Iowa.

Again, Dems vote heavily absentee in Iowa. They always have. GOP goal during early absentee voting is to keep it close and then overpower on election day like in 2014. In 2008/2012, Dems built a considerable early absentee voting advantage which wasn't overcome by election day. These are absentee REQUESTS at equivalent points in time during the respective 2012/2014/2016 elections.

10/10/16: DEM-120,243; GOP-83,311; UAF-52,816

10/05/14: DEM-106,874; GOP-70,133; UAF-44,384

10/08/12: DEM-168,602; GOP-94,734; UAF-72,694

Trending close to 2014 patterns which is auspicious. In relation to 2012, huge DEM drop-off, significant UAF drop-off and moderate GOP drop-off.

I spent most of last week in rural eastern Iowa, and Trump signs are EVERY where. I saw 2 maybe 3 Hillary signs and at least that many “Hillary...for PRISON” ones.

Got a good feeling about Iowa this time. Despite the car with Clinton-Kaine and “I (heart) Obamacare” bumper stickers (spit).

Read an article that said the REP strength in Iowa could portend good things for southwestern Wisconsin.

When I see those, and I don't see many in my thousands of miles of travel throughout the state of Florida, I casually flip them off! With a smile, of course!

I read that McDonald article also. Interesting to see the similarities between Iowa and Wisconsin this year. Wisconsin at least in 2012 was only 1.5% better for Obama compared to Iowa. We will see if Wisconsin results this year come close to matching Iowa.

Once again ACTIONS (requesting ballots, voting) are opposite of polling
