The White House accused Israel of a betrayal of trust, in an unusually sharp rebuke over its plans to build hundreds of new settlement homes deep in the West Bank.
Days after President Barack Obama approved a $38 billion Israeli military aid package and attended former president Shimon Peress funeral in Jerusalem, the White House railed at the construction of 300 housing units on land far closer to Jordan than Israel.
Warning that the decision jeopardizes the already distant prospect of Middle East peace as well as Israels own security, press secretary Josh Earnest said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus word had been called into question.

Good for you, Israel. I doubt Bibi will lose one minute of sleep over Obama’s “rebuke.”
Obama thought he could Bribe them or was this part of the plan
That’s rich coming from this administration.
Here’s hoping that Bibi tells Jug-Ears to pound sand...
The houses are well inside Israel. And it’s so dam ed embarrassing to America that we still have these horrible new- haters in our govt. pray that mr Trump will clean house ! ( meanwhile: build Israel, build! - and some of us are soooo very sorry you keep getting this meddlesome bs garbage meal from the Obama IslamoNazi caliphate regime. )
0bama betrayed our trust not the other way round.
Bibi’s revenge. A big F- off to Obama.
I went to the Ruby Diamond auditorium on FSU’s campus to listen to the Israeli chargé d’affaires speak. There was a contingent of American Palestinian protesters. He immediately acknowledged their presence and invited them to speak first. This confused them. He asked for a representative to present their case. When the young idiot had stumbled through a few hackneyed cliches the CDA asked if there was anything else any would like to add. With that their planned interruption was preempted. I sat next to them and they seethed with anger, but remained silent. Then the CDA addressed each of their points and thoroughly routed them, while somehow remaining polite and pleasant. On the subject of Israel building houses in disputed lands he said, “We are tough negotiators, as are the Palestinians. Not to build would be to concede the land without negotiation. But, (he went on to name the agreements were land was traded and all Israelis were removed from it.) He made the point that if the Palestinians refused to negotiate then Israel would build. Only if the Palestinians negotiated would they get what they wanted. But, he said, negotiations go both ways. They get what they want and we get what we want. Otherwise, we build.” (I used quotes to approximate what he said. Nothing I write could be half as eloquent or clear as he was. The man was an astonishing speaker.)
I vote this as the most hilarious headline of the week.
The koran says that the land west of the JORDAN river belongs to the Jews.
Wishing Mossad would give this Muslim community organizer “the treatment”.
To the contrary. Unless Obama complained, Bibi would wonder if he was doing the right thing. Now he knows for sure.

I can see the last ridge before Jordan from my home. And I live 15 minutes away from Jerusalem. On the other side of the hill, I can almost see the Mediterranean in the distant haze. Nothing is far from anything in Israel.
