Read one account by a cop in the 70s who got into a shootout inside a car, he was behind the wheel, the bad guy was on the passenger’s side of the front seat. They emptied their guns, 6-shot revolvers, and neither one was hit. Now this was back in the 70s when a Ford LTD or something similar had an acre of space between the driver and passenger, but still, it shows what adrenaline can do in these situations.
Between the two they fired 20 shots. Neither one was hit.
