We won’t get anything up here from Matthew though we wouldn’t mind. We NEED rain badly. But everyone from the coast up to here would be hurtin’ and we don’t want that.
We’re a bit worried about our friends who moved to FL this summer because I saw that they’ve changed the track westward now. I also have friends who live in Wilmington, NC and the new track has it headed straight for it.
Too bad this storm couldn’t stay out over the Atlantic.
Speaking of windy weather, have you checked the SE nest cam this evening? The wind’s been whipping there and Peaglet has had us holding our breath for a while. Dumb bird’s standing up rather than hunkering down. Hope he doesn’t get blown off the nest!

On my way to east Texas on Wednesday. I have a table to use for tunes next Friday. Not certain what kind of time I’m going to have for the computer and I can post that from my phone or tablet. I’ve learned some stuff. LOL!
I was watching it till I just couldn’t handle watching how the wind was whipping that nest around. I, too, was almost ready to yell at the screen...sit down before you blow down! LOL!
I fear for the SW Florida eagle nest that they have worked so hard to rebuild and also the Savannah owl nest that is in a tree that is so rotten I’m not even sure why it’s still standing!
Just checked...he finally did hunker down. The curras have pestered him and he got his temper up. LOL!

Yes, I was glad when he finally hunkered down. There were a couple of close calls on getting tossed while standing a bit too close to the edge.
He sure doesn’t like the curras and seems to dislike the ravens even more. Can’t blame him for that!
Am I the only one reading this site who spent time at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. I went to advanced basic training there, back in 1961. I hang out with a friend who happened to also have been there about a year later with the same MOS.
Well, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. And sometimes the computer just isn’t available. :)
I’ve made “shortcuts” of some of the code words so they don’t take so long to type. It helps.
You know....cen for < center >, etc. The code pops right up. LOL!
I can’t blame him either. I’d love to see him snatch one of them out of the air and have it for lunch! LOL!
They mentioned he had some kind of bird for breakfast today. Those curras better watch out. He might have really enjoyed the break from fish!
That might be the only meal today. That horrendous wind is liable to make it very hard for Dad and Lady to hunt for anything else.
That was the bird. It’s the only meal he’s had today.
Easier to eat than fish, apparently. They said he self-fed well. Poor bird has a heck of a time with fish.
I think the bird was already pretty mangled whereas he has to “unzip” the fish. I wonder how the troops like this conversation? LOL!
Guess I’d better go. Gotta work one more time before off down the road I go! :)

I’d say whichever parent brought it in had probably partaken of it a little. Playing that video segment now, or trying to. UStream is really wonky tonight. Looks like Dad made the delivery and Lady came in afterwards to help. Giggled at Peaglet “mantling” and squeeeing “Go away!” LOL!
Dang, work tomorrow? Oh well, at least you have the upcoming trip to look forward to the next day!
Jool’s doing better. She’s eating more now but that bloat is still there. I’m taking a couple of cats to the vet tomorrow afternoon and will give him an update. Just have to wait to see what he thinks about it. I guess as long as she’s eating I shouldn’t worry too much. One day at a time.
