Analysis: Trump the destroyer could herald an unintended revolution: Don Pittis
Lower taxes for the rich, renegotiated trade, a shakeup at the central bank if a victorious Donald Trump makes his policy a reality, the result may be a more radical change than his supporters ever dreamed.
While in almost every respect Democrat Hillary Clinton comes off as a safer pair of hands, last week's U.S. presidential debate left a nagging feeling that Republican Donald Trump, by playing the anti-establishment radical, might yet talk his way to victory.
Trump succeeded in painting Clinton as the status quo candidate. A survey of his plans, from blowing up the central bank to cutting taxes for the rich, means a Trump win may prompt a far more radical transformation than he and his supporters have bargained for.

Complete garbage but too well written for the illiterates in the Congressional Black Caucus.
Many socialist heads up in Canada are at the point of imminent explosion. The level of vitriol I have heard expressed in urban environs, is unbelievable. Naturally, I like to subtly egg them on - my general input is to politely tell such folks that it is not our country, we don’t have a say, and we should let the Americans make their own decision.....which only encourages more screeching, at which point the conversation generally goes like this:
“listen, it’s none of our business, let them get on with it”
The most common response is, “but, but, he’s racist....”
“How? How is he racist?”
“but, but, he want’s to scrap NAFTA...”
“NAFTA is a 25 year old, likely outdated trade deal, perhaps it needs to be re-worked for the 21st century, a lot has changed you know”
“f&*k you, asshole”
heads will explode, and I’ll be watching with glee, and popcorn....
“When a tool of the state from socialist Canada starts mentioning the possibility of Trump win, you know they are preparing themselves mentally for the possibility of a Trump victory.”
Oh Canada! You’ve surely degenerated into a soclalost $hithole. Who would have thought the country of Harper would morph into the country of Trudeau. Never let anyone who is French run anything as important as a country.
America’s reds are terrified of counter-revolution bringing a halt to the Left’s vision of a Marxist ‘Utopia’.
Ignorant of history, they see paradise where those who are more conversant with reality see Venezuela, Mao’s China, Stalin’s USSR, and Pol Pot’s Cambodia.
That’s not going to happen.
Justin Trudeau is only one fourth French, with most of the rest of his ancestry being Scottish. As for poor Canada, Harper was like Ronald Reagan, a conservative who was unable to stop his country from continuing a leftward drift.
Trump hasn't said much about Canada except he would build Keystone after renegotiating it. On September 28 Peter Navarro, a Trump advisor, spent 19 minutes talking about trade deals on the John Batchelor show. In the last 30 seconds of the segment Batchelor asked Navarro, "What about Canada". All Navarro could say is "We love Canada" 3 times and "Canada is not the problem" twice.
I'll take that. Trump knows who America's (natural) allies are.
Try going to Quebec City if you want to see French arrogance on display on this continent. They make Parisians look like a bunch of Sunday School teachers when it comes to being first-class pr!cks! The Canadian French are as bad as the Black Lives Matter crowd here. Looks like we should have sent both groups back to where they came from a couple of centuries ago.
From what you describe, it sounds to me like the Soviet Citizens of the 70s and 80s were more knowledgeable about the facts even in spite of Pravda, KGB and the Politburo.
It is a terrible thing to get your opinions of a foreign country from liberal media. The people that run that media only sit on their asses behind their keyboards and speak only with each other talking about the fax they got from the Democrats that day and what their marching orders are today.
It's a big, long border which passes through some mighty isolated areas. One example...I'm familiar with a town in northern Vermont called Derby Line which abuts the Quebec border. The town's famous for several reasons, one being that there are at least several building literally situated *on* the border (kitchen in Canada, bedroom in the US for example) and another is "Canusa Avenue" an ordinary street that actually represents the US/Canada border.Although I've never tried it I'll bet that I could pass into Canada from several spots in the town and not get caught.Google the town some day if you have some free time...it's kinda interesting.
But that's just one small place.Imagine what parts of the border in North Dakota,Montana and Washington might look like.
Just sayin'....
Keep up the good work!
:)
This is Canusa Street.I've driven it before;it's pretty cool IMO.The houses on the left are in the US,those on the right are in Canada.
I always blame CNN and the alphabet media for constantly pushing an elitist, globalist, leftist, statist, status-quo point of view — and then I remember the CBC.
I don’t know how Conservative Canadians (there must be a few) handle this daily propaganda for their state-run media without going crazy.
When is anybody going to point out that since only the wealthy actually pay taxes inevitably lower taxes only apply to the rich. “Fair share” applied to the rich should be a line for a comedy routine.
The wife and I visited Ottawa years ago and had lunch in a restaurant near Parliament.
We listened as the politicians and bureaucrats talked just loud enough so we could hear.
It was clear they viewed the Canadian citizens as subjects to be ordered around and herded like sheep.
I would like to think if they were American politicians and talked like that in an American restaurant a riot would have ensued.
Correct...Canada's not the problem.
Except for those damn Canadiens
LOL. Imagine, one would have to make sure your kids have their Passport to play with the kids across the street!
