I posted on another thread that Kennedy 1960 was the last time a Democrat won without Ohio (and all the other times as well).

Since 1960, only in 2000 was the margin of victory in Ohio more than 3 percentage points from the national margin.
(Bush won Ohio 50-46, lost the popular vote 48-48 nationally)

There is a slight bias to Republicans (1.5% more Republican in 14 elections). In 1964 and 1972 Democrats got a slightly larger share in Ohio than they did nationally.

What is embarrassing is how many people are willing to abandon one of the most important safeguards given to us by the founders.

Birtherism” is the greatest Alinsky ever perpetrated.

They have gotten the American people to reject one of the most valuable safeguards bequeathed to us by the founders.
The natural born citizen clause served us well until we ignored it.
Barry Soetoro/Barack Hussein Obama should be proof enough of the wisdom of the founders when they tried to prevent him from being President by requiring someone who could only be a US citizen and nothing else.
Born here of citizen parents.
Naturally a US citizen because there is no other possibility.
One cannot be anything else and also be a natural born citizen.

It does not matter if he was born in Hawaii if his father was a foreign national.
Children of foreign nationals inherit the nationality of their foreign national parent(s).
Natural born citizen means born here of citizen parents.
No other possible citizenship(s).
Only when one cannot be anything else can one be a natural born citizen.

No foreign birth.
No foreign parent(s)
No foreign citizenship(s)
No foreign influence on the Presidency is what John Jay stated in a letter to George Washington as the reason for insisting on a natural born citizen.

Obama told us he was born a British subject.

Who believes Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Jay, Monroe, Madison, etc. would have found him to be a natural born citizen?

Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009, happened with the complete cooperation of both parties.
They want the Constitution changed without the hassle of amending the Constitution.
Confuse people about the clear meaning of a three word phrase and voila, every anchor baby and Winston Churchill is eligible.

The bench was the reason the GOP went along with the fig leaf resolution for McCain that was used by the Democrats as cover for Obama.
Jindal, Rubio, Haley and Cruz were all up and comers and the future of the party and ineligible.

The truth of the Kenyanesian Usurpation will never see the light of day because both parties cooperated in the violation of the Constitution

I doubt many votes will be changed by the flyovers.

The fascinating thing about this election is that it is a referendum on Hillary Clinton - and votes cannot seem to be changed by anything. Once a voter decides Hillary is not the one, that's it - nothing can ever win him or her back. Clinton is reaping the harvest of thirty years of visible public corruption. She's got her base 42%, and some percentage of vote fraud on top of that, but it isn't going to be enough.

Yes, let's look at Minor v Happersett. Ignoring it was about voting rights, the whole "Vattel" thing hinges on some writings in the USSC decision about Minor's citizenship. What was written? Here it is:

Exploring the common-law origins of citizenship, the court observed that "new citizens may be born or they may be created by naturalization" and that the Constitution "does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens." Under the common law, according to the court, "it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners." The court observed that some authorities "include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents"foreigners."

The USSC then put aside the entire thing about "natural born" because Minor met all criteria to be a citizen, natural born or otherwise, for whatever definition you wanted to use. Then the rest of the discussion was about her right to vote.

Yes, Minor v Happersett actually states that what IS a natural born citizen is not defined, in words, in the Constitution. And that there are TWO definitions possible, one where it is jus soli and jus sanguinis, and another where it just jus soli. The USSC makes no claim one way or another, but states both are valid according to authorities.

So tell me - what are citizens who are born in the US, but not of US citizens? Are they naturalized?

Yep. And if you’re naturalized you’re not native born. To get a passport as a naturalized citizen, first you have to go through a naturalization process - an immigration process where one pledges allegiance to the USA and renounces all foreign citizenships. It’s recorded in a Court of Law, as a public record.

If that record doesn’t exist, then the holder of the passport must have qualified for the passport WITHOUT doing such a swearing in ceremony - meaning they were born a citizen. A citizen by nature.

Read what Thomas Jefferson wrote about citizenship:

all white persons born within the territory of this commonwealth and all who have resided therein two years next before the passing of this act, and all who shall hereafter migrate into the same; and shall before any court of record give satisfactory proof by their own oath or affirmation, that they intend to reside therein, and moreover shall give assurance of fidelity to the commonwealth; and all infants wheresoever born, whose father, if living, or otherwise, whose mother was, a citizen at the time of their birth, or who migrate hither, their father, if living, or otherwise their mother becoming a citizen, or who migrate hither without father or mother, shall be deemed citizens of this commonwealth, until they relinquish that character in manner as herein after expressed:

According to Jefferson, being born in a place qualifies for citizenship. According to Jefferson, having a single parent (mother OR father) a citizen conveyed citizenship. That's from the man himself...

I hate the current President as well, but being born on US soil, or having a parent who is a US citizen, means you become a citizen by birth. It's a state of your nature. You're born a citizen, naturally. You are not naturalized.

The Constitution only gives two states of citizenship: natural or naturalized. If we take your view and that of Vattel then there is a 3rd type of citizen. Pray tell, what is a person who was born in the US of a single US citizen? What is a person who was born in the US of no US citizen?

Because, a plain reading of the US Constitution, and the writings (like Jefferson) of the men who formed These United States, says you are either a citizen by birth or naturalized. If you don't have to go through a naturalization process - then you must be a citizen by birth. By nature.

"This election is now over and Trump is in the process of ripping out the entrails of the Hillary campaign."

That is so metaphorically enjoyable yet it is such a disturbing visual I need that meme of the cat with the bulging eyes "what has been seen can't be unseen"...

If one is born of foreign national parent(s), one acquires the nationality of the parent(s).
One is only naturally a US citizen when one cannot possibly be anything else.
By your definition any anchor baby with no loyalty to the US or its citizens is eligible.

I want there to be no doubt of the loyalty of the President, same as the founders. BHO is proof of their wisdom.

What is proof of citizenship? A passport.

In the US, what does it take to get a passport?

1. Being born in the US (jus soli)
2. Being born to US parents (jus sanguinis)
3. Being naturalized (court action)

There is no 3rd way. You’re either born a citizen, or not. It’s that simple.

So where is this “3rd classification”, where is it called out in the Constitution, how does one acquire it, what statutes define it?

The burden is on you, not me.
