The New York Times, the so-called paper of record, has declared that the all-important swing state of Ohio is no longer an important battleground in the presidential election now that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is winning it.
Trump pulled ahead of Clinton in the Buckeye State in the RealClearPolitics poll average on Sep. 13, and has never looked back. The latest average, as of Sep. 24 prior to the first presidential debate on Sep. 26 has Trump ahead of Clinton by 2%.
Now that Trump is winning the must-win, the Times has revised its view of Ohios importance: After decades as one of Americas most reliable political bellwethers, an inevitable presidential battleground that closely mirrored the mood and makeup of the country, Ohio is suddenly fading in importance this year, writes Jonathan Martin, who notes that Clinton has basically conceded the state.

LA Times poll suggests that the counter-propaganda efforts to paint a total Clinton win at the debate has been beaten back by the alternative media at Trump’s disposal
Next, the NY Times will declare FL and unimportant swing state, along with New Mexico, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. The only important states will be the ones where Clinton is ahead.
Absentees show FL gone too.
It’s way too enjoyable watching the final death gasps of the LSM!
It’s VA and PA that worry me.
Stupid Mason-Dixon Florida poll this morning with her up 4 points.
Just last night, Bill Mitchell tweeted DC Whispers reporting how her own internal polls show her losing The Sunshine State.
This morning, Bill has a retweet refuting the M-D poll as it claims Trump only has one percent AA support.
Personally, I think they are fearing a loss of Reagan Proportions for Hillary.
I believe this is the “No True Scotsman” fallacy:
Person A: “No Scotsman puts sugar on his porridge.”
Person B: “But my uncle Angus likes sugar with his porridge.”
Person A: “Ah yes, but no true Scotsman puts sugar on his porridge.”
Ohio is a bellwether state until it supports Trump. At which point it is no longer a true bellwether state.
CNN saying that Florida is now a “must win” for Clinton. I bet they abandon that in due course.
Reminds me of “I wouldn’t worry about it though, it’s [Boston] not a big college town.”
The New York Times is so inconsistent that they will declare the winner of 2016 to be the person who got the FEWEST electoral votes.
You’ll know it’s in the bag for Trump when the MSM claims that CA, HI and DC are must wins for him.
Its VA and PA that worry me.
VA worries me to. The Nova DC suburbs have grown massively. And they are full of beltway parasites. That’s not Trump country. LOL.
Fine, let her swing all she wants.
Ah, the sound of lib heads exploding in the morning.
The left always moves the goalposts.
More laughable is that it was something like 800 RVs and Mason Dicon said all were likely to vote. So their RV and LV sample was identical.
“Mein Fuhrer; we must retreat behind tbe Dnepr River. We can shorten our lines and make our stand there.”
Which is why we need to press Trump to have an anti-ELECTRONIC fraud strategy in place.
Poll watchers are nice for ground-game fraud, but it’s the electronic fraud that’s even a bigger issue.
