Ammon Bundy's lawyers file motion seeking halt to trial...(OREGON STANDOFF TRIAL..BUNDY MISTREATED)

Ammon Bundy on Wednesday filed a motion to put the trial on hold, pending his appeals of several of the judge's rulings in the federal conspiracy trial.

But even as the motion was filed, his lawyer Marcus Mumford told the court that he anticipated calling Bundy as a witness for the defense if time allows on Thursday.

His lawyers cite U.S. District Judge Anna J. brown's order that the ownership of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge is not on trial in this case, and he judicial notice to jurors that the federal government owns the bird sanctuary in eastern Oregon.

They also cite the judge's ruling preventing Bundy's lawyers from discussing Bundy's contention that he took over the refuge to stake claim to the property through the principle of adverse possession.......

"Mr. Bundy's colleague (LaVoy Finicum) has been killed, Mr. Bundy has been imprisoned pretrial for almost a year under extreme depravations for a defendant presumed to be innocent--and both executive branch and the judiciary have been avoiding the significant, consequential and legitimately raised issues presented," their motion said....

(Attorney J. Morgan) Philipot, in an accompanying declaration, contends that his client has not been able to consult with his lawyers during trial breaks, hasn't had access to pens for note-taking and hasn't had enough to eat during trial.

"Since the beginning of trial Mr. Bundy has regularly been deprived of meals and adequate sustenance, resulting in physical and mental fatigue beyond what is normal and allowable under basic principles of fairness and decency," Philipot wrote.

The mistreatment of Ammon Bundy in prison was brought to light in court filings by his lawyers this week.

While there was testimony going on yesterday in the trial as the defense presented its case, lawyers for Ammon Bundy filed a motion seeking a halt to the trial.

They cited the rulings by the "Queen Judge" Anna Brown undermining their ability to defend Ammon Bundy, plus issues related to his imprisonment.

One of Ammon Bundy's attorneys says he has been denied writing instruments, the ability to meet with his defense lawyers and meals during the trial.

Earlier this year in Nevada, where Ammon Bundy faces charges related to the Bundy Ranch standoff, he was chained to a bench in a jail for 24 hours and denied food.

At the trial yesterday, Rev. Franklin Graham testified about his role in mediating with the last four protestors at the refuge.

Defendant Jeff Banta took the stand in his own defense later on, talking about his desire to see Rev. Graham as a mediator.

Banta also explained why he came to Oregon in the first place, so he could help the imprisoned Hammonds. He also explained that he stayed on to the end so that LaVoy Finicum would not have 'died in vain'.

Banta also spoke about two "white bearded men" who showed up at the protest and talked about blowing up a dam. He thought they were "FBI plants".

It looks like in this case the prison guards and police are on the governments side

Once he gets to prison where he will be out of the public eye, the Feds are going to kill him. When and what method they will use remains unknown at this time. They will probably use the same method on him as they used on Jim McDougal.

The warden and prison guards are paid by the government.

The police, FBI, OSP are paid by the government.

Low life scum pieces of human filth like Mark McConnell who sell out their fellow Americans for a quick buck are paid by the government.

The judge is paid by the government.

The prosecutor is paid by the government.

I am sure the government will say that Ammon Bundy got a fair trial.

Bundy should not be forced to submit to the judgement of the illegitimate authorities who seek to make an example of him. He should simply refuse to participate in any more of this nonsense. The militias should do whatever is necessary to free him and see to it that he remains free. There have to be a few Oath Keepers in law enforcement there. They need to act.

I wonder if Mr Bundy would argue with that approach to the problem. I bet he worries less about himself than he does about his children and grandchildren and the government they will face if he and we are unsuccessful in quelling present governments tyranny over the people. Freedom is not to be found if you are a fugitive from what is called justice.

Most of the Democrat Federal judges are “all in the family” with the FEDS. This one looks like a real pure blood line FED. It is a scam on justice. Pathetic treatment of this Man. I think they murdered that poor man sitting there in the car.
The Feds hate white men.

If people in this country choose violence that would not be a good option.

But resistance or defiance without violence should be the heartfelt goal of all people.

Humility is a challenge to me, but I have to go for it and not assume “God is telling me something” when maybe its another voice.

I’m a drunk, sober now, seeking peace and serenity in my life and I wish it for Ammon Bundy and the FBI, the judge etc. etc.

But I’m not going to bend over and accept as right and proper the way the authorities have acted.

Worshiping law enforcement and government comes seems to be a problem for many of us.

God Bless law enforcement but God Bless the addicts, too.

They don’t need to be mass murdered by Duterte in the Philippines or slow murdered by law enforcement when they encounter unarmed drugged up people acting erratically.

I never said the solution needed to be violent. As with the occupation of the federal building, they could offer peaceful resistance. If the government responds with violence, that will be on them. I never advocate violence. I advocate for following the Constitution and exercising our rights - with new intent to harm anyone, unless self defense is called for.

I’m sorry if I caused offense. I am concerned about people whose anger leads them to violence out there and my words were intended to calm them.

Martin Luther King was successful in nonviolence but he could not control those who became violent in his wake back in the 1960’s causing a tremendous backlash.

We need nonviolent acts in the coming days and months..God help us all to make good decisions and meditate on what is right and pray for those who are our enemies.
