I worked on PTC for NJ Transit for lines into Hoboken. It went into revenue service 11 years. Did they yank it out?
That does sound odd if the system was operative that long ago, unless it became unmaintainable or something like that (and so, was effectually ripped out). Was this a proprietary system? The one rolling out now is an open standards system.
