Gary Johnson, the Libertarian nominee for president, had been raring for Wednesday night's "town hall" on MSNBC. He had been cut from the first televised debate after missing the polling threshold, and he had not been invited when the network hosted a "commander-in-chief forum" with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
"This was their consolation prize," Johnson told The Washington Post this week when asked about the MSNBC special. "It was put to us that, look, you werent in this initial program. Heres what wed like to offer in lieu of being with the two major-party candidates. And I said, 'An hour of prime time Chris Matthews? I'll take it.' "
He blew it.
Johnson voters moving to Trump.
Any foreign leaders I admired are no longer in office.
That’s easy - Ameg Tharnovogm President of Farknakistan! He’s a swell guy.
Benjamin Netanyahu.
Gary, I thought it would be Robert Mugabe or Raul Castro, surely they are better than that feckless fool on the hill we have now. Think for a minute, think!!!!
It sounds like Gary just got nervous. He gave derogatory names (out loud) to his own missteps. Usually, it’s the liberal host that slaps a label onto an error. This time it was Gary himself saying ‘that may be my “Aleppo Moment”, followed a few statements later by “I’m having a Brain Freeze”. Poor Gary. He may never get this close to any elective office again.
I have no idea how powerful the tension is being in his position. The pressure must be enormous. Chris Matthews, to his credit gave Gary every opportunity to answer these simple questions. If this was televised live, I can see both the Hillary Camp and the Donald Camp watching Gary’s stumbles and laughing out loud with great relief.
Don’t laugh too soon though. There are still many weeks to go. So much can happen in a few short weeks.
I enjoyed seeing the awful Johnson flop like a dying fish.
Interesting that when Johnson’s fellow drunk Weld finally came up with a name, it was Chancellor Merkel of Germany, a traitor who invited and allowed millions of Muslim men to march into Europe to destroy, rape and kill. I guess her odious betrayal is an example of what team Johnson would like to happen to our homeland.
Telling, however, that hack Mathews would pull this gotcha question on Johnson. Ditto for Hussein Obama’s admonition against voting for him. The Left must believe he’s hurting Hillary the most.
Netanyahu is a good choice.
However, I would go with Viktor Orban of Hungary - for defending his citizens from Muslim invasion. When asked to admit hordes of Muslim men, he told the EU and hag Merkel to F off and he instead built a fence.
I can’t decide between Barack Obama or Ted Cruz.
Lesson in what marijuana does...
The correct answer was Barack Hussein Obama.
Pot fries brains and Johnson has NO working brain cells left.
Excellent suggestion but I would also put in Benjamin Netanyahu as an equal.
I would also like to add a second catagory of the deceased, thus the greatest of all would be Winston Churchill. If we had followed his advice the turmoil and strife after WWII and the Mideast caldron of death would have never happened.
Roosevelt was a great leader in war, however his political beliefs lead to more than 60 years of East West Conflict and the present state of turmoil in the Middle East. He was a fool. At Yalta with all the cards in his hands he gave the Soviet Union half of Europe and thus set the stage for years of conflict via proxy nations such as North Korea, North Vietnam and possible nuclear conflict in Europe. He is not a man to be admired.
Ah! Weed! Numerous studies show long term use can cause..uh..uh..what were we talking about? Oh, yes, weed!
LOL...LOL...LOL!
Duh, Mr. Zig-Zag?
And, for runner-up, the lovely French MP Marion Maréchal-Le Pen.
LOL!!!
The president of Hungary, whatever his name is.
