“I think he’ll have to fire everyone”

But then that will extend to EVERY Department and Agency, particularlly Just Us and State. Anyone with “facial hair” should be on the list to go, and that includes the women!

There needs to be a creative solution for that problem. It exists in many departments, although the most prominent are State, EPA, and Education. Lesser cleanings are needed in ATF and the Forest Service, as well.

I think it exists: prosecution threats to be resolved by resignations. Most of the turds in those agencies, IMHO, have been running wild, thinking they were above the law, and doing whatever they wanted to. Now they can be held accountable at a terrible price in legal fees and legal exposure. That makes many, if not most, of them sitting ducks for offers they can't refuse.

Gosh, I sure miss the old GOP days when Mitt through his arm out of the socket trying to be the first to raise his hand to the debate moderator's "IS Global Warming a threat" question.

And better yet...

You would need a DOJ that works for the people to curb regulatory excess. Right now, they are working to enhance it.

Some way would have to be found to reach below just the political appointees to the career liberal jerks who use their prosecutorial power to enhance their political beliefs. Tall order, beyond me.

Thank you for referencing that article Mount Athos. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Noting that I will gladly Vote Trump, please consider the following.

Trump’s supporters need to get him up to speed on the federal government’s constitutionally limted powers.

And in the case of the constitutionally undefined EPA, since the states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds the specific power to regulate environmental issues, Trump needs to do the following.

He needs to either force the feds to surrender state powers to deal with the environment, powers which the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification feds have stolen from the states, back to the states, or lead Congress to propose an environmental protection amendment to the Constitution to the states , the amendment granting the feds the specific power to deal with environmental issues.

And note that the states can choose not to ratify such an amendment.

Civil service laws being what they are, one way around it is to spend money to save money.

Hire additional, sane employees to the EPA. Send the GW morons on a permanent fact finding mission to the artic circle. Win, win.

Open an outpost for each department in South Dakota 100 miles from the nearest Starbucks... no existing housing , no gas stations ,, no malls , no high speed internet... transfer all of rats there and adjust their salaries for “local conditions” ,, say a 80% cut.

Solution?

Close the entire Department, reorganize the government rehire those that work and have a brain. Period.

It is what you do with a company takeover. Trump understands this.

That is very true. Unfortunately, there is also a career group that has been corrupted over the past 20 or so years, and they have civil-service job protection, plus they are unionized through SEIU. They can be temporarily cowed, but they will work against the new order.

There needs to be a creative solution for that problem. It exists in many departments, although the most prominent are State, EPA, and Education. Lesser cleanings are needed in ATF and the Forest Service, as well.

I’ve suggested it before, create an non-air conditioned tent city somewhere in Kansas and offer to transfer the various bureaucrats to there as their ‘phony-baloney jobs’ (cue Mel Brooks), get eliminated.

Make sure there are no telephones, computers or internet access either. It’s not a jail, they are free to go as they so desire. It’s just the dead end of a road for them.

The Feds should get out of the environment business. Let the states regulate snail-darters and frakking (or not). It is none of the Fed’s business.

We need a gif of a blackboard on which is written “Another Trump promise kept”, and a hand putting a check mark on the board.
