ME looks set to go Trump.

Too bad GHW Bush’s vote won’t help Hillary there.

Talk about karma.

George H. W. Bush is only a summer resident here in Maine.

He lives much of the year in Houston.

We can rest assured knowing that Texas and it’s 38 electoral votes will be going to Donald Trump, no matter how George the elder votes.

North Carolina tightening? I thought Trump had moved ahead in NC.

Different polls, different results.

“Tied in Minnersoda? Can I get a WTF?!!???!!”

That Somali dude going on a stabbing spree up in Bachmann territory I think, St. Cloud has likely made Trump jump, 3 points at the least I’d say, maybe more.

One restuarant in Minnesota, even put this “Muslims out of USA” sign out.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/minnesota-restaurant-owner-defends-muslims-get-out-sign/

Not sure if anyone posted that story.

It’s a state that also elected Jesse Ventura; so, I know Jesse isn’t liked by some because of the Chris Kyle riff (including me, I don’t like as much, I use to hear his radio show); but previously, he was sort of libertarian.

To clarify - St. Paul is not full of Somalis. Their largest settlement is in Minneapolis, and the city of St. Cloud - [which is 70 miles NW of the Twin Cities on I94] has a large number of Somalis also.

Why are their riots in North Carolina and not Oklahoma?

North Carolina is a swing state; they are trying to get I guess, blacks to vote democratic.

The Somalis have many radicalized Muslims but despite this problem, Minnesota isn’t even in the top 5 states, maybe top 10 per Muslims being a percent of the population.

Doesn’t make it better though, these guys from Somalia are more radical I guess though in the end, every state has had to deal with some of this extremism I am told.

Some info on states and their Muslim populations.

Riverside near downtown Minneapolis has housing projects full of Somalis from what I understand.

I read this and I can't help thinking back to the 2000 campaign. Some polls polls (Zogby and others) showed Bush to be "within striking distance" of taking California. Republican ads started popping up on the TV and Bush spent time running up and down the Central Valley that he could have spent in Florida. Bush lost California big time and I've always believed the optimistic polls where a setup.

Excellent assessment!

Cedar-Riverside area of Minneapolis was so Swedish it was called Snus Boulevard! It had the Viking Bar before the Vikings football team. Then it morphed in a University of Minnesota student neighborhood. Now it’s the Third World. America in a microcosm!

Minnesota?! Could Trump possibly take the state that eluded even Reagan?

Minnesota has been traditionally Leftist. However, it's also one of the whiter states, only 5% black, and the Dems, with the help of BLM, have been alienating white voters lately. It's also been where Obama has been dumping thousands of Somalis.

I'm not going to count on it, but it seems possible. If it happens, the Dem party will see major upheaval.

Yes, you can get a big WTF! Maybe Minnesotans are seeing what happens when you get Mark Dayton, Al Franken, and the always pleasant, touchy-feely, and noncontroversial Amy Klobuchar in office.

That area, Minnesota and nearby produced Humphrey, McCarthy and Mondale and from South Dakota, McGovern. It’s a bit of a different philosophy we might be looking at politically, at the least, I’m not sure if HHH was that liberal.

Ed Schultz is terrible almost all the time but if he gives up just talking politics and wanting to attack Republicans as he use to do on MSBNC and talks about some other issues, he is kind of interesting, he’s from somewhere in the vicinity as well.

The main reason I’d question your conclusion is that by the time MN reported it would have been clear that a rout was underway. Why cheat when there’s no payoff? That would be all risk with no reward.

To save Mondale from the embarrassment of losing his home state, and deny Reagan the 50-state sweep.

I don't think people can appreciate the hatred that DFL'ers had for Reagan.

Sorry, but no way in hell does Trump win Minnesota. It has not gone to Republican since the Nixon-Agnew landslide of ‘72.

Since then all Minnesota has done is buck the nation trend in 1984 and was the only state to go against Reagan, elected a black Muslim to congress. elected Jesse Ventura Governor, and gave the nation great statesmen Senators like Paul Wellstone, Amy Klaubacher and Al Franken.

I think it’s safe to say Minnesota is “with her”.....Trump doesn’t need it anyway.
