Back in the early 1970s I knew a great guy in Nashville named Leroy Wheeler. He was an Americal Division Vietnam Vet and he soon became a Nashville police officer. During his rookie year he was shot in the face and killed by a Black teen. Another friend of Leroy’s and mine was Joe Cooper. Joe Cooper also became a Metro Nashville policeman. Joe was shot in the face by a Black teenager and survived after but faced a tough recovery and endless hours in the dentist chair (his line of molars had slowed the bullet. I’m getting sick of this Black victimhood biz.
