Retired Gen. Colin Powell believed that “Hillary’s mafia” was trying to drag him into the Clinton email scandal, newly leaked emails show.
Powell, who served as secretary of state in the George W. Bush administration, also appears to have warned Clinton’s personal attorney, Cheryl Mills, about dragging him into the fiasco.
“Been having fun with emailgate,” Powell wrote to Beth Jones on March 9, 2015, days after news broke that Clinton used a personal email account and private server as secretary of state.
“Hillary’s Mafia keeps trying to suck me into it,” he continued.

That was obvious way back when Congress started asking the State Department about Hillary’s emails and correspondence and the State Department decided to ask the “past four” Secretaries of State, including Hillary, for their emails.
They knew that Hillary had stiff-armed Congress and FOIA with her email server and wanted to catch Condi and Powell doing something wrong, and then they could take the narrative “everybody did it” not just Hillary.

Cheryl Mills is Illery's legal counsel, attorney, and in on the Clinton Foundation Board.
Oh, and did anyone mention that she was present during questioning about the emails while she was both Illery's legal counsel, and was to testify,
except she claimed exemption since she was legal counsel to the defendent.
Talk about convoluted legal technique .
What amazes me is how someone who was picked to be in the GOP inner circle under Bush, is now clearly deeply connected to the DNC.
Finally proof that Powell was one of the main security leaks to the DNC while working for Bush.

Good point. I am actually interested to see suck-up email by Ryan to various Dem party leaders. Unfortunately I think he is the type.
