I disagree. All candidates who are on the ballots of enough states that they could get to 270 electoral votes should be included in the debates. What are they afraid of? Let the people at least hear what they've got to say.

I tend to agree. However, I don’t recall Romney pushing to have the libertarian candidate included in the debates when he was a candidate.

I think it’s important to separate positions on an issue from political considerations. This is like the Democrats saying it’s necessary to put severe limits on the powers of the President, but WHOA, as soon as they are in power, we don’t hear that any more.

I prefer someone who has principles which don’t change based on whether or not they help his political goals. So while it seems reasonable to have all viable candidates at the debate, I think the time for Romney to speak on this issue was four years ago when he was a candidate. Now he should just shut up and let honest people debate it.
