For years, Democratic elected officials in Washington have been wary of going after Wall Street excesses too hard, lest the deep-pocketed financial industry throw all its resources to Republicans. This has been especially true of one of the most notorious targets for financial reform: the favorable tax treatment of the outsize compensation earned by partners in private equity firms. Democrats have long spoken out against this so-called carried-interest loophole, yet have often not pushed as hard as they could to change the law, which saves some of the wealthiest people in finance billions of dollars in taxes each year.

As if he has any “poor backers”.
:D
Romney supports Clinton and is working to get her elected president.
He is telling his supporters to contribute to her campaign.
Romney is a two faced phony. I wonder what Clinton has promised him.
Mitch is a b.tch.
I’m so surprised.
Not.
Mitt is soooo OVER
IDIOT never had a MOVEMENT like what TRUMP has now! He even has hardworking devoted Youtube fans making complicated TRUMP videos for him!
Mitt & McCain never had that kind of devotion, only Obama had!
The Cheap Labor Express must be kept running.
They are not about to let the citizens reverse 30 years of bipartisan policy of non-enforcement of immigration laws.
This is why the Republican party is on it’s death bed.
We know Romney and his ilk.
Trump either turns this party around or I re-register and forget about it.
“Trump either turns this party around or I re-register and forget about it.”
I’m right here with you.
I seriously doubt this bothers Trump in the least. These are not the type of people he will court.
This really tells us a lot about not only the Romney backers, but Romney, and the insiders for Romney as well.
Its not what Clinton has promised him, its that he is protecting the interests of all his much richer backers.
Romney is a rich man, but not that rich.
His and Clintons backers interests coincide this election.
Why a seat at the table so he can yuk it up with his Democrat buddies again only he won't have a pen this time.
Mark Levin said all of us were stupid if we didn’t wholeheartedly vote for Mittens in that election.
Mark Levin now says Trump is a terrible man, but he will grudgingly vote for Trump. But he understands the people he’s been telling to never vote for Trump shouldn’t decide to vote for Trump if they don’t want to do so.
“I wonder what Clinton has promised him.”
No IRS audit.
That’ why I laugh at the Flat Taxers. Nobody really wants a Flat Tax when you hit things like capital gains and carried interest.
They’re most likely rich from corruption rather than hard work. Government enforced “free market” monopolies. Cheap labor. Other government favors. I can see why Hillary is their choice - she may want a big cut of their profits but she’ll guarantee them profits without effort.
The only “Hope and Change” these characters will tolerate is the “Hope and Change” they all knew obama would NOT furnish.
When there’s a chance for real change, it’s suppressed by Washington insiders, who are quite content with their death grip on power, thank you very much.
Globalism is the holy grail, and sovereign states are evil. Donald Trump is the only threat to their dreams.
