In a recent speech to a group of conservatives, I made what I thought was a relatively uncontroversial point about the commonalities between Trump supporters and Black Lives Matter activists. I thought this was a simple idea, but the criticism was immediate and sharp: How dare I try to understand the “other side”?
But as people, wouldn’t we all benefit from trying to empathize with people we disagree with?

No Glenn - the name of that organization itself is based on a lie, a slanderous one at that. The raison d’etre of BLM is also based on a fundamental falsehood - the idea that white cops are the reason so many innocent black men (and women) are being gunned down in their neighborhoods.
There is NO “empathizing” with BLM. They are anarchists, liars and their goal is to bring America down. They need to be stopped, not understood.
Glenn Beck is a man with serious issues. Between his conversion to a cult masquerading as a religion and his affinity for the most bizarre conspiracy theories you have to wonder if he isn’t several fries short of a happy meal. I hope that family and friends can do some kind of intervention and get him professional help.

This man is quite a charlatan.
I remember in 2009-2010 he was kind of front and center for the whole Tea Party movement. I never did care for his radio show- however, I did like his CNN show. After his publicity he gets a well publicized show on Fox News.
Eventually his blackboard show starts going into George Soros and “banksters.” Apparently his show is ended and Mr. Beck starts to prostrate himself to the establishment.

Beck makes his money by being as controversial as possible...
supporting weird or dangerous movements, attacking the best-available politicians we have .... and just plain stirring up BS ... all to get people to listen to his program (gotten listen to find out...what can Beck possibly come up with NEXT!???)
We used to listen to him because he IS intelligent and can sometimes hit a correct chord....but he’s mostly way, way off .... and we’ve tuned him out. He’s a waste of radio spectrum now.
