Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly passed away on Monday. She was 92.
Schlafly, the founder of Eagle Forum, rose to prominence in the 1960s when she wrote the book A Choice, Not an Echo, which sold more than three million copies. She was a leading voice of opposition against the Equal Rights Amendment, fighting to preserve traditional gender roles.
She wrote a total of 23 books, the most recent being an expanded edition of A Choice, Not an Echo. In March, Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for president.
Schafly was predeceased by her husband, John, and is survived by her six children.
She was truly a remarkable woman. Never steered away from conservative principles. Never bowed to liberal political correctness.
She was a saint.
A beautiful statement. It is most unfortunate that Phyllis Schafly did not get to be our First Female President.
Shrillarity is not fit to shine her shoes.
RIP to great American conservative and patriotic woman. You will be missed, Mrs. Schlafly.
RIP, PS
Sorry to hear about this.
RIP
RIP to a Great American.
I’m sure she is hearing, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” right now.
She was faithful and courageous in much and is sitting at the feet of Jesus beholding His glorious face.
Prayers for strength and comfort for her loving family and friends.
RIP, heroic, inspiring lady,
and thank you for all your years of love and devotion
to our Constitution and our nation.
Love that photo!
I was so fortunate to have spent an hour or so with her at the Republican National Convention. She truly believed in “Making America Great Again”. Thanks for being an icon for millions.
Amen
Rest in Peace beautiful Phyllis Schlafly. I hope to meet you on the other side.
Thank you for being a warrior.
She was part of this great victory.
RIP for a cultural giant.
Amen. She was an organizational genius and a great soldier for goodness and decency. She was the same age as my Mother when she passed.
Rest in Peace lovely Lady and enjoy Jesus' hug!
Very sad news. She will be greatly missed.
RIP
RIP to a great lady.
Phyllis Schlafly fought the good fight, finished the race, and remained faithful. She’ll go down as one of the Christian greats.
Phyllis, your life and work were an inspiration for all of us in the conservative movement. You will be missed although I know you will continue to help us from your new home. I am counting on it.
