If its a Trump landslide, GOP will hold the House and the Senate.

A year ago, the GOP establishment was terrified Trump would be the new Goldwater, costing them their majority at the tail end of a Democratic tidal wave.

Now it looks like Trump will win big and GOP prospects have brightened considerably.

If Trump was really gonna lose, the Senate would be already be gone. People can read the tea leaves.

I want to believe it makes a difference, but experience proves otherwise. The upper chamber is wall to wall globalonists. It is in the House that Conservatism has any effect at all, despite lyin' ryan and his merry band of sellouts in leadership.

I have a truly wild conspiracy theory as to why they all sell out, but don't want to get kicked off FR for sounding like a nut.

And Mitch McConnell surrendered before the vote count was finished.

I expect the Pubs will lose the Senate, given the way they crapped all over those of us who gave them majority. They may hold the House, but their numbers will be diminished for the same reason.

It’s not true that Trump’s upcoming victory in NH will help Kelly Ayotte - quite the opposite.

She’s almost openly anti-Trump. Her ads call her “an independent voice in Washington”. She despises Trump supporters, and the man himself.

Yes, the fact that she’s running against an incompetent communist will help, but not that much.

The Senate is the UniParty’s safe space.

I predict the Senate will 50/50 with Pence as VP, he will be the Senate pro tempore.

Better than a Charles Schumer as majority leader.

Of course the spineless, craven gutless, wormlike Senate leadership will let the Dems run the chamber so they can blame their failings on them...

Remember Jumpin Jim Jeffords who switched from the GOP to became an independent and in effect gave the Senate to the Dems last time it was 50/50....

I bet, it Linda Graham or John McCain that will do the same thing if that happens..

“...They bested some of their pettiest political tricks, including three different Democratic candidates in Montana.”

Not true. Here in Montana we have two Senators and One Rep.

Currently the Rep. is a Republican but our Senators are split - and absolutely both were NOT on the ballot together.

And we have a worthless D (for dimwit) Governor.

The Uniparty. Or, more specifically, the dems, if republicans get their wish- to go back to the good old days doing what they can to give the country to the globalist a while blaming the democrats. Fat and happy like rats

2018, we seriously could end up with over 60. Dems have 23 seats to defend and we have 8. If Hillary wins in November, we could end up with 70 seats.

The Democrats are getting desperate in their polling, the sample for the latest PA poll, had 50% Dem, 41% Rep, and 8% Ind. That is absolutely ridiculous.

Polling this year is difficult, because there are a number of Republicans who will not vote Trump, but will vote Republican down ticket, and a number of blue collar Democrats who will vote Trump, and possibly Democrat down ticket.

This election is all about the debates. If Trump continues to show that he is President material, as he did in Louisiana, and Mexico, he will swing a lot of Republican votes his way.

Hillary's votes are locked in, she doesn't have many left in the undecided. The undecided pool is full of people who are not sure if they can vote for Trump or not - that is why the debates are crucial for Trump.

Hillary's only chance is to get low information votes to come out in mass, as they did for Obama. That is why having her appear to have a comfortable lead in the polls is so important - low information voters are much more likely to go out and vote for their candidate, if they are fairly certain they are going to win - they basically vote, so they can go to the victory party afterwards.

To show how desperate the Democrats are, and how afraid they are of Trump's surge, there was an article over the weekend in Politico talking about, not if Hillary would win, but how it appeared it was going to be a landslide. They showed polling data from early August, and said 'look - Hillary's already won, it's a landslide!'. The only reason to publish this type of propaganda, is to get out the low information voter.

The Democrats are in trouble, and the full force of the Democratic Propaganda Bureau (mainstream media) is currently working to sway the election to Hillary, and my greatest hope is that, 1) it fails, and Trump wins, and 2) the outsight bias is so evident, that America finally says it's had enough with the Democratic Propaganda Bureau!

Mark Kirk of Illinois is in a world of hurt. The state (Illinois) is just too blue.

No, Mark Kirk is just too blue. After his illness, he should have done the right thing and retired. Maybe after he returned to the Senate floor and proved to himself that he could recover. But staying is not the right thing to do. I'd rather see Jack Ryan run again as the Republican, so the media would be full of pictures of his ex-wife in her Star Teck costume...

Ted Cruz, Mark Rubio, et al, proved that it won’t matter if the eGOP keeps the Senate as they lied about all the things they would do if they got it. They got the Senate and did NOTHING!

Republicans don’t deserve the Senate.

If Trump loses, the republican party is DOA.
