As the presidential election has captured the national spotlight, there are many other matters to be aware of prior to Nov. 8. Congressional elections are particularly critical this year, as a shift in the U.S. Senate is a real possibility. That would mean that Chuck Schumer would become majority leader. Retiring Harry Reid was a moderate compared to Schumer. If the House changes hands, we would see Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the House once more. Everyone should remember how well that worked. And then there are state elections, including five ballot measures dealing with firearm laws in Washington, Colorado, California, Nevada and Maine.

We will retain both the House and Senate. Candidate Hillary has no coattails. The media keeps talking about the possibility of the two houses going democrat but it’s just wishful thinking on their part.
States are steamrolling our 2A rights. Add an HRC win and in just one term, places like CA will see most of their 2A rights gone. Her SCOTUS picks won’t intercede in egregious state 2A infringements.
Regarding the states threatening 2nd Amendment gun rights, please consider the following.
Note that the congressional record shows that John Bingham, the main author of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment (14A), had included the 2nd Amendment (2A) as an example of constitutionally enumerated privileges and immunities that 14A applies to the states when he officially clarified what Section 1 does.

So by limiting 2A, even through state ballot measures, anti-2A activist states are violating Section 1 of 14A imo.
14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Good point, though in reality, the ubiquitous “they” are still infringing our rights.
Unfortunately, in these times I question if gun owners have heard of the 14th Amendment.
All the Democrats have to have in the Senate is 41 senators. The Republicans will continue to act as if the Democrats are still a majority no matter how many seats the Democrats have.With 41 Senators the Democrats can stimy any Republican initiative and coerce the Republicans to accept many Democrat bills, which process the Republicans are agreeable to anyway..
