Last Thursday we previewed that in today's regional election in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the home state of Angela Merkel, she was looking at the unthinkable: losing and not just to anyone but to her nemesis, the anti-immigration AfD. This is what we reported: "According to the latest shock poll, released late on Wednesday, the AfD is leading the CDU by 23 percent to 20 percent, with the Social Democrats, who currently run the rural state in coalition with Merkels party, at 28 percent support. Whats more, according to Bloomberg the AfDs recent history in regional votes suggests it will perform better on election day than predicted in polls."
Sure enough, according to the first exit polls released moments ago, Merkel's CDU has come in third, in line with expectations, and more importantly, behind the AfD, which is the only party to see popular support in the elections as all other major parties have seen an exodus in popularity

And now the fingerpointing begins."
Give her and hollande a Mussolini farewell, get the rope and lamposts ready
It might be worth noting that even for the winner of this Mecklenburg election...the SPD...they lost roughly five points off the 2012 election results. Toss in the fact that the Greens and Linke Party also lost a number of points off their 2012 results as well.
Berlin isn’t surprising.
During the Weimar period, the SPD ruled in Prussia the entire period up to 1932 while the federal government saw constant turnovers of government.
Hmmm...
First Brexit, now this, other European countries seriously considering their own Brexit, even picking out anagrams for it...Frexit, Czechout...
I’m wondering if people over there are starting to wake up too, just like here with the Trump Train...sure is beginning to sound like it. Then there’s the huge riot in Venezuela, is socialism starting into a worldwide meltdown?
Soon I expect to hear Merkel & Co. requesting that the muz invaders be given the vote. You know, a page from our own book.
Tone deaf
Looks like not all Germans are pu$$ies after all.
"Islamophobia fuels election returns"
Let's hope and pray that it is; but I won't believe it until abortion is abolished at the highest levels.
I hope so because according to the media hellhole NBC=(N)othing (B)ut (C)linton network poll, the pickle *itch leads in NC by4 and PA by 6...trump is gonna need a miracle!! C’mon Donald get’er done!!! Ads and more ads would be helpful since the media is hell bend in blacking out anything positive about trump and a total blackout on the witch’s crimes! By Tuesday the whores will move on to something new and the email etc will have a quick death like foster!
Pay no attention to polls, they are either rigged or so far off it’s a joke.
at least one has been caught rigging polls, I believe it was Reuters. Polled many more Democrats than Republicans, of course Hillary was ahead.
Also, polls do not reflect the number of people who are “closet Trumpers”, who won’t admit it but they will vote Trump, I think they also omit people who have just registered for the first time in their lives, in order to vote for Trump.
So the polls are not reliable this time, especially knowing they are mostly run by the same liberals who run the media. If I see polls saying Trump is 3 points behind, I figure that means he’s actually about 5 points ahead.
Voting in the primaries should have shown us all that is the case. Trump sowed even or slightly behind in polls, won elections by a good margin. Where he showed ahead in the polls, it was landslide city.
Ignore the polls, or try to offset them with a little educated guessing. I generally add 5 to 8 to whatever they say Trump is polling.
Murkul you dummkopf!
Merkel will go down in German history as the 2nd worst German leader ever...
