But the system itself took a cut, plus encouraged the cost of the care itself to skyrocket.

There is nothing wrong with benevolences; there is everything wrong with making cash cows out of guilt trips.

No, it was not. It was the overburdened American taxpayer.

I do believe things have reached a boiling point.

And that is saying something, given that Americans are the most generous people on the planet, always first on the scene in a huge natural disaster (Haiti earthquake; the tsunami, etc....)
