> Yes the same press that said Mike Brown was on his knees, hands raised, saying, “ don’t shoot “, has lied to us. Again.
Well, it lied about Brown, but your version of that transcript isn’t accurate.
> “Our border must be viewed as a joint opportunity. Both countries must invest more in it. More in (the wall) infrastructure, More people, More technology, in order to make it more secure [your transcript left out ‘and efficient’].”
The Mexican president did not say “the wall”, as that transcript shows in parentheses. Also “Invest in the Wall : an Asset to both Countries”, shown in quotation marks, is not a quotation. He did say “infrastructure”, but that could mean more guard stations, more roads along the border for guards to use, or other things like that, or even structures designed to make the area more “efficient” rather than more secure. If a president of Mexico were going to support building the wall — a major decision — he wouldn’t announce it in a parenthetical remark.
Here are Prieto’s original words starting in the YouTube video at 9:31. “Nuestra frontera debe ser vista como una oportunidad conjunta. Ambos países debemos investir más en ella, más infraestructura, más gente y más tecnología para hacerla más segura y eficiente.”
Trump has always said the Wall will have Doors. What they do at the Doors is up to negotiation.
