Liars. Trump said there had been no discussion about who pays. The MSM are liars.

Meanwhile, the truth of the matter is we the American people will end up paying for the wall though higher tariffs and prices on imported goods.

Headline is beyond misleading, it’s a flat out lie.

Funny how these phony liberal journalist dopes believe everything the President of Mexico says, but anything Trump says is met with faux skepticism.

Not true. Raise tariffs, lower taxes.

Tariffs are patriotic.

Tariffs, and ONLY tariffs, are supposed to be the primary source of all fedgov revenue.

George Washington passed a tariff on British Shipping, it spurred the greatest ship building boom the US has ever seen.

Complete hogwash, you malinials can not think beyond 1 days out. The truth is, long term, Americans and America will only benefit, but you liberals will never be able to reason beyond your next free government meal. You are better off hanging out with the likes of rush beck and mark "i love hillary" levin. You would certainly would be more at home with them then here at FR.

Is someone forcing us to buy imported goods from Mexico?

Wrong. I think the wall will be paid for through the renegotiation or cancellation of NAFTA. Mexico will pay for it one way or another and nobody really cares how. As far as tariffs are concerned, the truth of the matter is we need to use tariffs as a weapon and not forget that tariffs built this country. A major cause of the Civil War was that Lincoln did not want to lose the Tariffs the southern states brought in from foreign trade.

I keep asking this question, maybe you can explain it: Why, if tariffs cripple an economy, every other country in the world maintains theirs?

Why don’t all the countries get together and joyfully shred every tariff law on the books if such laws are so bad for their respective countries?

Are tariff laws only bad for the people of the United States alone?

Most of the populations of other countries don’t have the disposable income to buy American products.
