The race for the White House has narrowed. A new Fox News Poll finds Donald Trump gaining ground in the head-to-head matchup, despite improvements from Hillary Clinton on top issues.
In addition, this is the first time the poll offers a four-way presidential ballot (it preceded the two-way ballot).
The poll finds Clinton garners 41 percent to Trumps 39 percent, while Libertarian Gary Johnson receives 9 percent, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein gets 4 percent.

Great!
Even more encouraging is that this is a registered, rather than likely voters poll. Likely voters would tilt more toward Trump.
He did a tremendous job today, probably the most Presidential he ever looked. I love it! Hillary must be climbing the walls. Can you imagine her doing something like this? Never in a million years and that’s just how she would run her Presidency. Trumps done more today than Obama has in 8 years in dealing with Mexico. He’s improving relations which to me is absolutely vital in fixing this illegal problem, PLUS what he said about Mexicos drug problem blew me away “Together we are going to fix this” PERFECT!!! In one meeting in got Mexico on his side, I guarantee you that, ONE meeting! How the HELL can this effin’ b*tch be ANYWHERE near him in the polls never mind two points above?
There’s ZERO doubt Trump is surging in every poll. This speech tonight on immigration is the big one. Trump can win on “the national question” which is immigration control.
I think this is the turning point.
Even though I hate the term, this is “optics” in play.
Trump, like him or not, is being proactive and positive in reaching out to blacks and making the ballsy (sorry, that is the best term) move of flying to Mexico to meet with Nieto. He has also toned down the bombast. Compared to what went before, the revamped model is getting a look from undecideds.
Hillary, on the other hand, is keeping a low profile while her email scandal continues to unpack like a matryoshka doll. The questions about her health are out there, despite the mainstream media downplaying it. Her negatives are rising because the aloof impression she is giving by avoiding the press and sticking to carefully choreographed events does leave an impression on people even though they may not even realize it.
My worry is Gary Johnson. I know too many otherwise moderate/leaning right people who talking about voting for him.
“Trump can win on the national question which is immigration control.”

More about “illegal immigration” of both the generic and exec order types.
This is another bogus poll, the LA times has him ahead 4 points, and some of the battleground polls which count more have him ahead.
I think Johnson takes votes more from Trump, because people who like Johnson don’t want big government, or a gung ho foreign war President. Trump wants the Gulf states to take on Isis.
This is Fox. Don’t kid yourself: Trump is ahead, maybe 3-4, and they are terrified.
Registered voters, not likely ones.
Plus, it is absurd to equate the two on the economy and even more ludicrous to put her ahead of him on handling terrorism.
Today’s Marquette Wisconsin Poll that showed a three point race (within MOE) was even noted on MSNBC by Hugh Hewitt as a turning point. If Trump has closed the gap amongst the cheeseheads who covet their cheap labor express, he is probably ahead by at least the 3-4 points you estimated.
They call different people each time.
However, to me the biggest giveaway is that the two parties are statistically tied and about even—within the margin of error.
What’s even better is he also gave the Witch an invitation for a meeting and the Witch stiffed him. She has some really serious problems, stuffing th LA flood victims and now this. Both situations were great political opportunities and she spectacularly blew both of them.
Seriously folk... WHAT LEAD?
Hillary is a basked case and her campaign is laying in ruins.
Even Fox News is getting with the program. Hillary only ahead by two. Megyn Kelly and Shepard Smith will have to be put on suicide watch if this trend continues. Then again I bet they ignore their own poll and choose the most outlandish one with Hillary ahead by 10 points.
I agree...this is the turning point. This speech gets him over the hump IMO.
It seems like every surge by Trump falls short by some % I have a hard time believing he is behind in many polls with him surging all the time.
I can't believe her staff blew those two opportunities because they thought they weren't important. The only possible explanation is because she was physically incapable of making either one. Which begs the question: what the heck kind of President is that supposed to be??
Unfortunately Trump didn't play the same game that usual pubbies do. While keeping a tremendous amount of pressure on clinton head on Trump simultaneously opens two new fronts on totally unprotected flanks in Mexico today and Detroit Monday.
They have to be thinking “Geez what the hell next?”. I know I am. Genius!
