Several years ago, I worked with a woman who said she wasn't sure how to react when someone held a door for her. I said I prefer to be pleasantly surprised - that I consider it an act of courtesy, not an act of oppression.
same thing happened to me..held the door open for a guy in a cart...he got pissed
