Don’t paint with too broad a brush. We have a Congolese immigrant attending our church. He is an electrical engineer. So much for the demeaning IQ generalizations. He is a Christian. He set up a Christian FM radio station in the Congo before he left. He wants to return in a few years and set up a Christian Biblical institute. He is attempting to enlist our help.
They are not “refugees.” Refugees stay somewhere close to their home, somewhere safe, and then return home when possible. These people are immigrants. They are coming here, and they have no plans to return.
Why are we going out of our way to spend so much time and money bringing people to the US from the other side of the planet, when we could spend that money to help improve their lives back in their homelands instead?

I think it’s ironic, and borderline sadistic, to dump these people in a place like Montana; where they’ll freeze their bippies off for many months per year. Wouldn’t they be relatively more at home in a place something like Death Valley?
Why aren’t the Montana Senators and House representatives questioning this and pushing back? Does anyone EVER ask the American citizens if they are okay with this?
There was a time not long ago when the nation only allowed immigrants in who could contribute to the US, who had skills and education, good health, and wanted to become Americans.
