Liberal Judges Put Election Reforms in Wisconsin on Hold, Except for Voter ID
Daily Signal ^ | 8/23/16 | Hans von Spakovsky

On Monday, a three-judge panel of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refused without comment to stay a Wisconsin district court opinion in One Wisconsin Institute v. Thomsen that threw out changes the state legislature had made in early voting rules as well as other changes such as the residency requirement for new voters.

However, the state’s voter ID law will remain in place for the November election because the district court judge, James D. Peterson, a President Barack Obama appointee, stayed his earlier ruling against the ID law on Aug. 11.

Peterson didn’t have much choice on that issue: The same three-judge panel that refused to stay his overall ruling had issued a stay on the voter ID issue on Aug. 10 in a second district court case in Wisconsin, Frank v. Walker.

Why are judges appointed?
The only reason I can think of is “APPOINTEES OWE THEIR ALLEGIANCE TO THOSE WHO APPOINT THEM”.
All judges, at all levels should be elected.

Perhaps if we issued ID’s for free no one would have an argument against the voter ID rewuirement.

If you are poor in WI you can get one for free. There is no argument.

Then issuing them for free should be done in every right leaning state. Let the Left be the bad guys and charge a fee and the lawsuits can fly.

Governor Walker. Just say no. Until the states stand up to the federal judiciary, the tyranny will continue.

If you look at European countries (they all require an ID for voting), the standard ID is issued at no-cost. It’s generally good for 8-to-10 years. The local office in each region runs odd hours throughout the week so people with different schedules can walk in and get this done in five minutes.

If you go and explain to any European that you are running a voting system with NO id required....they will just start laughing.

And I don’t blame them for laughing at us. We call ourselves a democracy and yet we don’t protect it.
