Trump on the other hand has a lifetime of tangible accomplishments and is not part of the DC incestuous gene pool that is career politicians and lawyers.

I think we have to trust that Trump knows how to frame a response to an issue. The main question is, does he understand that this is how he is being framed, and that he has to respond with equal clarity, forcefulness...and in a way that is unpredictable. Not like a traditional conservative, who would say, “I am not racist!” Trump changes the game. This MAY turn out to be yet another brilliant re-configuring of the table by Trump, responding in a super effective way and in an unpredictable way to what is essentially a pretty old liberal tactic.
So, yah, I think you (and Trump) are on to something!

I’m not sure that is true for everyone. I think it is effective for enough to make a difference. I am consoled, however, by the fact that as best I can see...this is their ONLY argument which is resonating. So if you are right that whatever traction it gets it is going to fail...then even better!:)
It’s totally ludicrous, the idea that Trump is racist.
It’s only based on the left’s infatuation with Islam....they see Islam as a racial minority and therefore full of virtue and peace and so on. And since Trump doesn’t want open doors for all things Islam (remember, a racial minority...), then, ergo, in the liberal worldview he is “racist”.
It’s idiotic ...actually it’s mentally ill. But that is liberalism for you.

I guess the other angle is that well, if it’s not Christian it must be good.
What is insane about that is, that all of their stupid objections to Christianity are essentially either flat out false, or grossly exaggerated or distorted. But what they say about Christianity and its hate, its intolerance, and so on, is spot on about Islam.
