Ah, the warm, loving embrace of political Islam has arrived in Malaysia:
A Malaysian rapper has been remanded in custody by a court in Penang over a music video entitled Oh My God that allegedly insults Islam because it was partly filmed in a mosque.
Namewee, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, will be held for four days, a district police chief, Mior Faridalathrash Wahid, told Agence France-Presse.
He said the rapper was being investigated for defiling a place of worship with the intent of insulting a religion.
If convicted, Namewee could be sentenced to two years in prison, a hefty fine, or both.
Namewee's 'deadly sin' against Islam is that he filmed the video partially in a mosque. Additionally, the Islamic call to prayer and the word 'Allah' were used in the video. According to Islamic organizations in Malaysia, that constitutes an insult of Islam, which is why they contacted the police. Apparently, the Malaysian authorities are inclined to agree with that assessment.
Ironically, the rapper says that his video was meant to "promote harmony" among people of different religions.
Clearly Namewee didn't get the memo: fundamentalists don't aim to live in harmony with anyone, they only seek to dominate.

This "rapper's" name is clearly of Chinese ethnic origin - and they are not ethnic Malay, nor are they Muslim. Being industrious, non-superstitiious, and educated (i.e.. non-Muslim) the 25-30% of ethnic Chinese in Malaysia have traditionally controlled the economy there, such that the 70% Muslim Malays rule by forcing a widespread "affirmative action" program on to the minority, for the benefit of the majority.

He should have renounced Islam.

Rap music. The one thing I hate worse than the Islamic religion. So this may be the one time I agree with Muslims, jail the rapper!
