A man and two women are being held in lieu of $900,000 bail after they allegedly beat a man to death with a broom handle, a metal baseball bat and a two-by-four on the West Side after a Facebook fight, authorities said.
Lithia Henderson, 41, Marshalla Kelly, 23, and Marshall L. Henderson, 21, appeared in court Sunday, where a judge set bail at $900,000 for each of them, according to Cook County state’s attorney office spokeswoman Tandra Simonton.
The three, from Chicago, are charged with murder in the death of 23-year-old Andre Jackson and are slated to appear again in court Sept. 2.
The incident happened the night of Aug. 4 when Jackson and a 20-year-old male family member went, unarmed, to the area of the 4600 block of West Gladys Avenue in West Garfield Park to confront a witness. Jackson had been fighting with the man on Facebook over the past few months,(snip)
The fight was about their respective girlfriends, one of whom is Kelly.
When Jackson and his relative got there, they were met by the three defendants and the male witness. Initially, a fistfight erupted between Jackson and the male witness about their Facebook feud. But Marshall Henderson soon jumped in and began attacking Jackson with his fists, prompting Jackson’s family member to join in to help his relative, Simonton said.
Around the same time, Lithia Henderson, brandishing a metal baseball bat, hit Jackson in the head with it, and Kelly used a broom handle to hit Jackson, Simonton said.
When the broom handle broke, Kelly went inside her nearby home to retrieve a two-by-four and began to swing it at Jackson but missed. Marshall Henderson took it from her and began to beat Jackson with it as he lie on the ground, and Lithia Henderson struck him again with the bat,

Just... wow.
If I understand this journalistic garble correctly, Lithia Henderson is the mother of Marshall Henderson and Marshalla Kelly. Andre Jackson, the murder victim, was Marshalla Kelly’s ex-boyfriend, and the unnamed male “witness” was Marshalla’s boyfriend at the time of the murder.
NOT my kind of town.
My guess is that they are ALL "daddy-less" teens.
Mothers are essential from birth to about twelve. (two required Sociology classes) After that Dads are essential. They are supposed to teach their children what it is to be a MAN, a father, husband, son, etc. Another important task is to teach their children, especially the black children, how to deal with adult authority, especially adult male WHITE authority. No "dad" = no "education" from dad.
The blame lies with "mom" who didn't bother to marry her, er, "first" or any men thereafter. Since the government doles out money for each child, it behooves these sinful males and females to keep breeding, irregardless of the good of the children.
Selfish, immoral/amoral, arrogant and a SURE knowledge of entitlement. It's generational and they fill the prisons.
It’s probably racist to say anything. But, some people just have short fuses; they have an extreme reaction to being disrespected, and seek to settle all slights, real and imagined, with violence.
Hope they all enjoy prison. They sure showed the dead man who is boss, didn’t they????

In what has got to be the most ironic story of the year, the “male witness” who initially got into the fight with the victim probably now agrees with the victim about Kelly and her family. They really **ARE** crazy!
Sounds like an episode of “Jerry Springer.”

Or a Roman comedy (except for the dead guy). In a comedy, he’d have gotten better and married Lithia.
