Kenny Baker, the 3ft 8in actor most famous for immortalising robot R2-D2 in Star Wars, has died at the age of 81.
The Birmingham-born actor passed away today according to family members.
He had suffered problems with his lungs and had been ill for some time, his niece Abigail Shield said.

sometime you should read about what happened to the super tall guy who played Darth Vader not his voice but the the body of Darth Vader.
his payment was for Star Wars was maybe $50,000 and nothing more.
I think he went on to become homeless.
