I totally agree. That is why in Pittsburgh we use the word “YUNZ”.
True story - my Dad is 90 years old, and he loves the Greene Turtle. So every time we meet him for dinner, we meet at the Greene Turtle. Yeah, I know it’s a chain, but my Dad is 90 and he loves the Greene Turtle, so...Greene Turtle it is.
We met him there recently and he happened to mention that he hates it when wait staff say “you guys”, especially when there is a mixed crowd at table. My husband said he cringes when the wait staff say, “I’ll be taking care of you.” I mentioned that I cannot abide the “crouching” waiter - just stand up and take the order like a self-respecting human being.
So, you guessed it - waiter comes up, crouches at our table and says, “Hi, I’m Kyle, and I’ll be taking care of you guys!”
That was good for a chuckle. And no, it didn’t spoil the evening.
BTW, aside from his greeting, Kyle is an excellent waiter and always gets a primo tip from us.

Initially it was yunz but got changed to yinz.
How very anti-queer.
Soul crushing.

Other than the research facilities, UCD needs to be closed. They are not teaching our children to operate in the real world. Learning has been sacrificed on the altar of politics of special interests and victimhood which is antithesis to a functioning society, making UCD useless as a learning institution and a waste of California tax dollars.
