Men of good will dont tear up agreements unless theres ample reason, but international pacts with intangible benefits are never worth the paper theyre printed on. Brexit happened, and Clexit could be next.
Donald Trump, whose name strikes fear in the hearts of establishmentarians of both parties, has said if elected he would renegotiate or cancel U.S. participation in the accord signed by nearly 200 nations in Paris last December. He says the pact, meant to reduce greenhouse gases that the greenies say cause global warming, is particularly harsh toward U.S. industry, and his rallying cry is America first.
Clexit-like language has prompted squeaks of dismay from adherents of green orthodoxy in Washington. Two former directors of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, William Ruckelshaus and William Reilly, issued a statement this week claiming the Donald would undermine the environmental legacy of Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon and George H.W. Bush. Donald Trump has shown a profound ignorance of science and of the public health issues embodied in our environmental laws, they say. To back away now, as Trump wants to do, would set the world back decades years we could never recover. Lest they lose their place in the capital establishment, both endorsed Hillary Clinton. Once a bureaucrat, always a bureaucrat.
While these two worthies fret over the fate of the world, Mr. Trump focuses on the future of America, which would be his No. 1 job as president. In his speech to the Detroit Economic Club, he pledged to end the Obama-Clinton war on the American worker, and unleash an energy revolution that will bring vast new wealth to our country. Lifting restrictions on American energy would boost the U.S. GDP by $100 billion and jobs by 500,000 annually.

Clerits!!! Tessa!!
This means our emancipation from the Clintons. Right?
Clexit!! Yesss!
In before the auto spell check
One more reason to Vote Trump 2016!
LEXIT would be better.
The Left is certifiably unhinged. They sure picked the right nominee this year. She's the queen of the unhinged.
Has Trump proposed eliminating the requirements for industries to clean their emissions before discharging them into rivers or through smokestacks? Has he proposed to eliminate clean emissions requirements for cars? I don't recall seeing or hearing Trump advocate *any* kind of reversal of clean air/water policies.
Furthermore, I would argue that the desire to eliminate carbon dioxide demonstrates a profound ignorance of science. Carbon dioxide is the building block of life--without it, nothing survives. (I cannot discount the possibility that the fearmongers of "climate change" are perfectly aware of this fact, and that the destruction of life on earth is, in fact, their end goal.)
Lifting restrictions on American energy would boost the U.S. GDP by $100 billion and jobs by 500,000 annually.
That's a good start. Not to sound critical of Trump, but we need a lot more than 500,000 new jobs per year to undo the damage Obama has done to the job market. Trump's website says that 14 million have been pushed out of the job market in the last 7 years--so we need 2 million per year just to catch up to pre-Obama numbers.
Don't get me wrong on this--Trump's overall economic plan is vastly superior to Hillary's plan to appoint a committee to look at why the employment rate is so low (and then, no doubt, to reject any committee recommendation that includes actual capitalistic/sensible pro-growth measures).
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
My first reaction was, "why would Cleveland want to leave the US"...
...squeaks of dismay...
Ruckelshaus originated the politics-first-science-to-follow philosophy that rules the EPA.
