Trump’s Economic Speech a Home Run

While the mainstream media didn’t give Donald Trump much credit, the economic plan he laid out this week at the Detroit Economic Club is exactly what we’ve been waiting for. Not only did the speech—which stirred repeated cheers from the audience—have great substance, but Trump came off as extremely “presidential.”

However, most importantly, I liked the focus he placed on the average American in his remarks. All throughout his presentation, I couldn’t help thinking: “This is someone who truly does care about the average American.”

Maybe you don’t believe that. But I do. I think Trump is aware that American workers must prosper if we have a hope of making America great again.

A Firm Footing

I came away from his talk with an overwhelming sense that his focus was firmly on the people, not himself. Sure, he will set policy and the agenda, but Trump’s business experience makes him smart enough to realize that it’s going to take the “average Joe” to fuel a turnaround. I believe he will continue looking out for these citizens so they will take ownership and feel pride once again in their country.

Security must be a part of our prosperity. A focus on American wealth, keeping that wealth here, and rebuilding the middle class are also necessary for getting our economy back on track. Trump’s reference to the other party looking backward was extremely appropriate; any hint of continuing with the policies of the past eight years is enough to make us tremble.

Darn. I clicked on the link hoping for specifics, and saw none. Don’t waste your time, folks. Read the Detroit speech instead.

When DJT says 'America FIRST, he means it!' We of this generation have never seen a politician EVER 'Put America First'. America has always been shown contempt by our elite, rabid DC critters. We are to grovel to even be given a ride and even then we are always in the backseat with a ruling elite firmly gripping the wheel to steer us in their chosen direction. AMERICA FIRST!

TRiUMPh with TRUMP!

“This is someone who truly does care about the average American.”

this is perfectly stated; and thus, with our current cannabilistic political system, a candidate expressing such a sentiment gets caught up in the slavering maw, gets masticated, and then spit out into the sewer...

we are getting the politics we deserve...

Trump understands, reflexively and inherently, that getting off the backs of businesses will take care of the economy. And like I told my wife the other night after listening to Hannity interview Trump, Trump gets it!

Am hugely disappointed in folks like Mike Adams, who shows himself to be every bit the elitist he pretends to despise, and a few others who are so da#$ed superficial that they are stopped at Trumps off-the-cuff comments. What a bunch of intellectual wussies!

Trump has worked with a bunch of average Joes since he was a kid. He purposely talks with the construction workers, electricians, janitors, etc., because he respects their knowledge and honesty. He is, as his son said, a blue collar billionaire. He also understands that no one gets wealthy without there being a whole lot of average people out their supporting the economy. Ditch the average person, and the economy is finished.

Hillary and the Dems understand no such thing, because they don’t know how the real economy works, and they don’t give a damn about the average worker because they “know” that they are sooooo much smarter and better than Joe Sixpack. I think the Monster Vote that everyone keeps talking about is millions of Joe and Jane Sixpacks across the country finally deciding to strike back at those conceited asses.

Just finished watching Trump give a speech at the home builders assoc.

He was great! NO TELEPROMPTERS! FIRE the teleprompters.Trump is great off the cuff. He had notes that he read from for statistics, otherwise he just spoke to the PEOPLE. He has a connection with the crowd that he loses with the teleprompter.

KILL the teleprompter!!!!!!

NO MORE TELEPROMPTERS FOR TRUMP!

He’s a NATURAL born speaker, let him use his talents
