Jesus said if you want to follow him you have to pick up your own cross every day - hardly a prosperity message. Look at the message of Peter and James to the audiences their epistles were addressed to - they didn’t sound to0prosperous.

Their sets were elaborate but gauche. But what really struck me was the throne-like gaudiness of the chairs they sat in.
They built something that spans the globe. If you want to preach and you want it heard beyond your congregation, including if you want to be heard in Iran or Egypt, TBN is who you go talk to.
Whatever you think of them, God told them to build it and they built it. They are gone but it is still in operation, if their kids can just keep it going.
They aren’t the only ones anymore, which is a good thing, but they were first and theirs is the biggest network devoted to the gospel. You may not like the pleas for money that were necessary to build it, but you didn’t have to send if you didn’t want to.

If one person is kept from the pits of hell it is all worth it. There are quality shows on the TBN network and millions have heard the Gospel because of the satellite. God will use anyone, at anytime to His Glory. I personally switched the channel when she was on.
