How come the NSA doesn’t have copies of every email ever sent?
“How come the NSA doesnt have copies of every email ever sent?”
They don’t because not every email is relevant. Normal mundane emails from private citizens are not flagged for copy and review unless they contain certain keywords or combinations of words. All the rest are archived for a time for later view if deemed necessary, including those YOU sent. It’s hard to comprehend the scope of the NSA’s ELINT and COMINT operations around the world.
People in “positions of trust” are scrutinized closer than you and I, but ALL our communications is available to them if they choose.
