Obama is leaving his successor a national debt nightmare

“So simple. So simple.”

Those were the key words that Donald Trump used Monday in his most detailed and important speech of the election so far. The economy, he said, “won’t even be that hard to fix.”

That’s when Donald Trump finally became a real politician. Congratulations to him!

There are two things that voters like to hear. One is that a person running for the highest public office in the nation has a plan. And, two, that he thinks the plan can not only be enacted but that it can be easily enacted.

Trump likes to make things look easy, and sometimes they are. A golf course in the Bronx. A skating rink in Central Park. A skyscraper here and there. He’s conquered them all.

But on this bigger stage Trump needs to deal with an uncomfortable truth: the US is a debtor nation with an economy that is growing at the worst post-recession pace since the Great Depression

Stop ALL welfare payments (house, phone, car, child care, food stamps, etc)....and I mean everything. Let the churches give out food and clothing.

Raise Social Security retirement age to 75-77.

Stop all foreign aid. Get out of UN, Fire 1/3 of federal bureaucrats, etc.

Set an amnesty period for 1 year to repatriate foreign cash to America zero penalty. Reduce tax rate to Trumps plan.

In 4 years , we will have a balanced budget.

As they say. “a picture is worth a thousand words”.

The pictures you posted are exactly those kind of pictures.

Your list can be accomplished in one fell swoop when the US dollar loses its world reserve currency status.

Who knows when that will occur, but it WILL occur one day in the not-too-distant future.

Until then, the politicians won’t make the hard choices.

They have to wait until that disaster strikes.

Most of our problems can be fixed by simply eliminating our current Credit Monetary system thrust upon us by LBJ in 1964 and Reinforced by Nixon in 1971.
Pull and Andrew Jackson and Start the process to a SOUND CURRENCY, There won’t be any extra Money for all those programs that gave us most of our problems.

We ain’t seen nothing yet....If Hill gets elected, we will be dancing in circles, eating gyros and kiss our money we have in savings accounts goodbye.

CUT OUT THE FED’S SPENDING WASTE!!!! During the last government shut down 98% of the EPA was said to be “non-essential”!

My son’s first summer job was at the NIH. He played basketball all day. As a parent, I was pi$$ed off.

THEN, he got a paid vacation day!!!! As a tax payer, I was beyond livid!!!!!!!!!

Our taxpayer dollars at work.... for non productivity and buying votes.

A 20% import tariff balances the budget tomorrow and puts the USA on the road to re industrialization.

It is a tax and it does what all other taxes do: bog down the economy. Cf. Smoot-Hawley Act.

It took years to build up America and it took years to rot it away and it will take years to build up America again. We would NOT get a balanced budget out of a tax hike like that.

Keep Section 8 in HUD. Food stamps should cover rice and beans only. Throw in Thunderbird and Ripple for the REAL low-lifes. Free veggies. Maybe they’ll lose eight.

Foreign aid: Take the welfare folks and send them to the 3rd world country of their choice to collect-half of what they get now. No return unless they waive ALL assistance. Those that can afford tattoos get no choice in the matter. There will be room for law abiding Mexicans who don’t think they’re in Mexico.

Tax cuts are fine, but at some point, the spending has to be cut - period. We cannot continue spending $4 trillion dollars per year and expect to have a properly functioning economy. Not doing so is just kicking the can down the road a little bit, except that road is running more steeply uphill.

All the other solutions are ridiculous. The historic way for America to get out of debt from war or whatever is thru tariffs. It has worked every time.

Smoot Hawley is myth. It was passed a year after the GD already stated. Trade was only 4% of GDP so it couldn't have huge impact anyway. Nobody in high school or college history (70s and 80s) EVER spoke about Smoot Hawley. It is a red herring developed by Free Traders to muddy the waters.

Grab an encyclopedia of Britannica printed in the 1970's. Get the "G" book and look up Great Depression. See what it says about Smoot-Hawley. Probably not even mentioned.
