Hillary Clinton is riding high in the polls. How high? A poll released by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Friday found Clinton leading Trump in Georgia, 41 percent to 38 percent. That follows other Georgia polls published this week also showing a close race in the Peach State. A Democratic presidential nominee hasn’t carried Georgia since 1992. So how big a deal is it that Clinton could win Georgia?

Only when you run D+16 samples like they are doing.

I swear, it’s ridiculous. No pretense whatsoever of being “scientific” in their polling.

Give me a D+16 sample and watch how many “blue” states become Republican.

No.

Georgia is not "in play".

Trump will take it by 20 points at least.

Georgia is to Democrats what Pennsylvania is to Republicans: a nice idea, but out of reach unless there is a landslide situation.

If Trumps wins Pennsylvania, then Pennsylvania will not be the winning margin. If Clinton wins Georgia, then Georgia will not be the winning margin.

If you are looking at States that seem to be swinging, look at Virginia which has moved heavily to the Democrats and Wisconsin which has moved heavily to the Republicans.

Good grief, just like the media saying Clinton winning in 3 battleground swing states .
I sat down and waited to see if they were FL, OH, VA, but no they were NH, WI, and MI.

Yet again media bias trying to shove Clinton as great that she walks on water is an angel.

Great post. Makes sense.

We can’t depend on PA. There are Definitely other paths to victory.

Trump could walk on water, the press would just say that he can't swim.

Very true. When ever there is a positive the media have to find the negative to talk about. When Clinton has a negative they over for her, lie for her, and then make up a positive and talk about that. I have actually seen CNN state that Khan did not work with the MB, or a firm which had connections with Saudi to the face of a Trump aide and then they went to break so she could nto respond.

Lying sacks of crap

All you have to read is “...in a poll released by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution” and the veracity will be understood.

I hope team Hillary is dumb enough to dump money into Georgia. Though who knows in 20 years as it becomes more like Florida.

Georgia going for Clinton is not impossible.

Georgia is 9.4% Hispanic.

31.7% Black.

53.9% white.

I think Trump wins, but white voters in Georgia are about 10% less Republican than white voters in Alabama and Mississippi.

Because of the very high percentage of Black voters in the Old South - 30% to 40% - Trump must win at least 70% of the white vote in Georgia to carry the state.

One advantage for Trump in Georgia is white voter registration - many of the Hispanics in Georgia are not citizens, many Blacks are convicted felons, and a significant percentage of Blacks and Hispanics are too young to vote.

It’s obvious, the tiny crowds she draws for her public appearances - she has trouble filling a middle school auditorium - are a clear indication that she’s going to win in landslide of historic proportions.
