Got to have something to do in between hunting seasons. In this case the season is 365/24/7 with no bag limit.

Must be why obozo wants to settle a bunch of muzzies up there.

...

Yep. In general, liberals are in the cities and Conservatives are in the rural areas.

Well, the winters here in the panhandle do tend to keep the riff raff out. Just throw another log in the wood stove.

Arizona is my first choice but I have options. You say the Writers first book is worth a read .
Is it just about His recommended Area?

Thanks

People are free to move and live where they like, of course. But if we keep giving up states to the loonies that move in from the last state they wrecked, we’ll paint ourselves into a corner at some point.

“Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and a strip of eastern Oregon and Washington states”

Proud to be born and raised and still resident in one of those “strips”.

I think Idaho just passed a no permit concealed carry law.

Effective July 1, 2016, a resident of Idaho can carry concealed under the same limitations that a basic concealed weapons permit holder has been allowed. No go still at K-12 school, court buildings, juvenile detention facilities. Some of the extra privileges afforded to persons with a enhanced concealed weapons permit are still off limits with the ECWP. Good to go in large cities and mining camps without the CWP now...if you are an Idaho resident.

Oregon and Washington strip,huh?

There is a proposal to annex eastern Oregon and eastern Washington to Idaho. The political values and occupational interests are more closely align. There would be a shift in congressional districts with Idaho picking up another 1 or 2 reps...equivalent losses to WA/OR. Idaho's Pacific timezone would grow significantly.

Used to be conservative until the west side real estate boom of the late 70s made up mostly of Californians. Now King County (Seattle) alone controls the entire state.

A new boom is underway in that part of the State turning rural areas into housing tracks, shopping centers, introducing the joys of traffic gridlock on former rural roads and, housing prices doubling and tripling again. All this in a place where fresh water is relatively scarce dependent on snowfalls and top soil is measured in half inch increments.

Many newcomers worship at the alter of ‘sustainability,’ but live in an area where a sustainable population was passed decades ago.

I'm always messing with friends and relative who own a gun weeks and months before shooting it.

When I go home with a new gun it's straight to the corral with at least one box of ammo and silhouettes. When a new gun enters my house it is in need of cleaning.

Good to have a redoubt, but let’s take our whole country back. And when this is all done, we might have expanded a bit, with a buffer zone consisting of the northern states of Mexico.

In all honesty i don’t particularly wish to be down wind or even near Yellowstone, i have a feeling that within a decade its going to erupt. And when it does everybody will migrate upwind of the event, which means 3/4ths of America will move to the pacific northwest, or Alaska.

It would be great to have a few more congressional districts in those reliably conservative states, but that doesn’t help a lot with national politics. Rats have such a huge advantage at the national level with their strong advantages in the left coast, IL and upper Mid-West and the Mid-Atlantic and New England states.

TX helps us and OH and FL used to help us, but the latter two have become toss ups.

A Republican pretty well has to sweep all the red and swing states to win any more. That’s a tall order.
