Aug. 5, 2016 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Homosexuals who “marry” each other are almost three times more likely to commit suicide than their heterosexual counterparts, even in very gay-friendly Sweden, according to a study published in the May issue of the European Journal of Epidemiology.
The authors of the study noted that social intolerance of homosexual behavior could not so easily be blamed for increased suicide risk, given that Sweden is known for its accepting attitude towards same-sex relationships.
“Even in a country with a comparatively tolerant climate regarding homosexuality such as Sweden, same-sex married individuals evidence a higher risk for suicide than other married individuals,” the authors note.
The study, “Suicide in married couples in Sweden: Is the risk greater in same-sex couples?” used the government of Sweden’s detailed databases to compare a population of over six thousand homosexual “married” couples to the larger population of heterosexual couples who married during the period between 1996 and 2009, following them until 2011.
The study found that participants in homosexual marriages had an overall 2.7 times greater chance of suicide than participants in heterosexual marriages, with the true value having a 95% probability of falling somewhere between 1.5 and 4.8.
Homosexual men in same-sex “marriages” were found to have a higher elevated risk (2.9) than women (2.5).
The study’s results are similar to numerous other studies in recent years that have found a strong relationship between homosexual behavior and a variety of negative psychological outcomes, even in countries that are very accepting of homosexual behavior.
Studies done of homosexuals in the Netherlands, which is the country most accepting of homosexual behavior in the world, have found that homosexuals suffer from significantly higher rates of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorders, suicide attempts, eating disorders, and panic attacks.
The behavior of homosexuals, which often involves high levels of promiscuity and instability in their interpersonal relationships, results in rates of 10-20% HIV infection of homosexuals living in urban areas, as well as elevated incidence of herpes and the cancer-causing Epstein-Barr virus, syphilis, anal cancer, and other diseases.
Maybe self loathing from much higher rates of infidelity, not to mention the nature of the homosexual “lifestyles”....
So that’s what the DNC’s national “media” meant when they said that those involved in a same sex “marriage” usually stay together until they die.
That’s one way to get rid of them.
What the heck??? I thought their lives were complete, now that they can get legally married. What happened???

It makes me wonder if there’s just something about homosexuality which involves various mental or emotional issues.
But due to political correctness, there will never be any such studies conducted. We are supposed to say that homosexuality is normal, that homosexuals are “gay” and happy, using the former definition of the word “gay”, etc. etc.
Maybe Obama will sign an executive order mandating that straights be forced to commit suicide at equal rates, to be more fair. /s>

And I say that as someone whose not particularly anti-gay or anything, and who knows dozens of gays (gay member of the family, often spend time with them and their friends).
Maybe... just maybe... it’s because homosexuality is not a variant of normal, as the left keeps insisting it is. Maybe homosexuality is just one symptom out of many that are indicative of some deeper mental illness.
Same with “transgenderism.”
The fact that a mental illness manifests itself primarily in aberrant sexuality does not mean that the person suffering the illness should be treated as if he/she is normal or denied medical assistance in overcoming the disorder.
take religion or tradition out of the debate - and simply, homosexuality is a grave public health issue. They die earlier, spread disease much faster, suffer much higher rates of depression, suicide, along with many other problems.

Of course they are.. Homosexuality is in the overwhelming number of cases a manifestation of a mental illness and/or trama.
For a person who is openly flamboyant about it, he openly disparages the lifestyle.
I watched one video where he said basically, that he tries it once a year, to see if he still hates it.
His "gayness" is entertaining. But he is a good thinker and articulator and also very honest. Kind of a person with feet in both worlds and points out the faults of the one side he stands in.
I hope some day he can find what he needs or come to grips with the demons that plague him.
In my opinion homosexual couples fail because as young teenagers those people CHOSE a lifestyle that was contrary to EVERY faith, law and custom in this planet's history.
Failure was in their youthful choice so it spreads out over their life.
They COULD change, couldn't they? They probably won't but they could.
This will be blamed on bigoted Christians - even the Sweden results.
