Libertarian Candidates Expose Themselves as Anti-Trump Shills for Hillary Clinton
Breitbart ^ | 4 Aug 2016 | Patrick Howley

Posted on 08/04/2016 11:50:59 AM PDT by VitacoreVision

Libertarian Party presidential nominee Gary Johnson and his running mate William Weld exposed themselves as shills for Democrat Hillary Clinton during an extensive primetime town hall with CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

Weld defended Hillary Clinton on her private email scandal and played attack dog on Donald Trump.

Johnson seemed sleepy, but he answered a question at length about THC amounts in marijuana and another from a young man asking about legalized prostitution. Johnson only lightly and perfunctorily criticized Clinton, instead focusing most of his low-energy attacks on Trump. He also revealed a personal gluten allergy and said that he himself would not patronize the services of prostitutes.

These two marginal politicians are clearly enjoying the spotlight that the pro-Clinton media are finally giving them in their effort to stop Trump. (Something tells me the folks at CNN have not secretly been reading Reason magazine all these years.)

The Johnson-Weld team seems to think that libertarianism is mostly about admitting as many immigrants to the United States as possible. This is a far cry from Ron Paul’s pro-borders libertarian movement of a few years ago. The libertarian movement has shifted to the progressive globalist Left.

Bill Weld has called Clinton “by and large a good secretary of state,” and Johnson has called her “a wonderful public servant.”

History is trying to repeat its self with negative blather about Trump.....as was done for Reagan, Nixon, Goldwater etc....if its Republican and moving, try to kill it, from Republican Congress or Senate then VETO it!

All this Trump negativity is nothing more than the old Progressive/Communist/Democrat way of Politics of Personal Destruction...rebut it where you can.

Libertarians have always been closet Democrats. Virtually every one I have ever talked with would vote for a Democrat before they would vote Republican.

In 2012, I heard a radio host interview Johnson, and he didn’t want to criticize Obama at all.

I’m shocked that the liberal-tarians would be supportive of Hillary. That is why they are in the race. However, a lot of liberal-tarians vote Democrat, so this will hurt Hillary, too.

"....Johnson seemed sleepy...."

That's because the guy is a stoner and gets high. Pot makes one drowsy.

Why Won’t Gary Johnson Criticize Hillary Like He Does Trump? Here’s the Answer
http://thelibertarianrepublic.com/gary-johnson-criticize-hillary-trump/

“.. It’s not that Johnson is unwilling to throw stones. He’s totally willing to do it as long as the establishment has pre-approved the narrative. “Oh, calling Trump a racist is on the 3”x5” card? Quick, add it to our talking points!”

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton gets a free pass because she’s the establishment darling.”

This has become clear. And, it’s being sold as the way for Reps to not vote HRC but yet to support HRC.

I don’t think it is real. We are in the middle of the greatest and most pervasive gaslight operation in US history.

My brother is voting for Johnson, whom he considers an alternative to Trump.

I read up on Johnson. He seems a little goofy. Which is why he sort of appeals to liberal white males who are straight (like my brother) but a bit immature. They lean toward Democrat but don’t want to be associated with Hillary.

I always thought of libertarians as more Ron Paul types. Weld is more of a Romney type.

When Johnson named the judges he liked (One was the latest one nominated by Obama) I figured out I wouldn’t vote Libertarian again. I will have to vote for the Constitution party if a GOPe person is running in the future.

It is good they are talking the way they are. Hopefully they will pull in Democrat votes from Hillary.

The spouse plans on voting for the libertarian since she thinks Don is dangerous, crazy, dictatorial, etc.

At least not the harridan even though it might as well be.

Thanks.

I find Johnson’s campaign pointless, since he seems essentially Democrat lite.

Looks like the libertarians have gotten stuck with a ringer for a candidate. Best to vote for mr Trump until the libertarians party can clean house and get its act together again.

Johnson’s response to the knife killing and woundings in GB was (I paraphrase) that sort of thing happens all the time.

I’m glad he wasn’t in charge on December 7th, 1941 or we’d all be speaking Japanese.

Sure, Weld and Hillary are old friends going back 40 years to the House Judiciary Committee staff and the Nixon impeachment. Gary Johnson may be a little bitter that he didn't make much headway in Republican politics.

Neither Johnson nor Weld is likely to think themselves less qualified to be president than Trump. The result is that they're tougher on Trump.

But they are still going to draw a lot of votes from Hillary. They're aiming at a younger, more urban/suburban electorate on the two ocean coasts and those people are more likely to vote Democrat.

Libertarians also do well in the traditionally Republican Mountain West, but even there, I don't think they draw more rural or older Republicans than younger, urban Democrat-leaning voters.
