A Trump ‘intervention’ is being led by Gingrich, Giuliani, according to reports

Republicans close to Donald Trump are planning an “intervention” aimed at resetting his campaign amid a political firestorm that has ensnared the controversial presidential nominee, according to a published report.

NBC News said former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, along with Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, are among the Trump allies who want to convince Trump to shift his tactics.

The report comes after Trump lashed out at a Gold-Star family critical of his position on Muslim immigration and went on to decline to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan for re-election.

Donald Trump is facing some of the harshest criticism yet — from heavyweights of the conservative movement. Are questions about his state-of-mind and fitness for the presidency getting more serious?

The Republican heavyweights hope to enlist Trump’s children in the effort, according to the report.

Asked on Fox News about the report, Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort said it was the first he’d heard of it. But he added: “The only need we have for an intervention is maybe with some media types who keep saying things that aren’t true.”

I love how the word “Intervention” has been used.

This is how the MSM is able to slide ideas into any discussion.

They are not going to have a meeting, a discussion, a conference. No they are going to do an Intervention.

You know...the thing that happens to druggies, alcoholics, wife beaters...

I don’t believe this. It is just more of Democrat posturing and hypocrisy possibly coupled with some drastically over-interpreted comments from “concern” Republicans.

That Kahn is an effing Muslim plant and Democrat. His son gave his life, not him and it doesn’t give him the right to whitewash everything about Hillary’s involvement in our collective betrayal with her actions at Benghazi and throughout her career.

This is just more guerilla news from the Democrats as far as I’m concerned.

All the News Channels are using this word. They are all in lock step, even FoxNews

Wonder what “rumors” and “insider info” the media will make up next?

With Trump still holding an edge over Hillary in a number of polls, this does not compute. Only in the world of the media would this ever make sense, particularly concerning this non-story.

See? I told everyone that Gingrich was a double agent from the start, that’s why he wanted the VP slot so bad and lobbied so hard for it.

Gingrich should not be allowed within the security perimeter.

Once a person sees it, there is no going back. Baghdad Bob was Honest Abe, compared with the US press.

The problem is Trump caused his own issue here and made the rookie mistake of jumping on every criticism. Now instead of the latest news of Hillary being in the front page news we are now a full week of this garbage because Trump has no grasp on emotional intelligence and a campaign staff that doesn’t know how to keep him under wraps at certain times.

His strategy worked in the primaries but the general is a whole different ball game. I believe the meeting will most definately do him well, he hasn’t had a good week whatsoever because of one issue; at times he just needs to keep his mouth shut. He can’t fight every battle but he can fight Hillary directly which he isn’t presently doing

Now he is learning the hard way.

The media is giddy now and you will see more hyping up of the Never Trumper losers stories.

Republican Strategist Calls Trump a ‘Loudmouthed D**k’ During Interview With Anderson Cooper
Aug. 4, 2016 2:55am Dave Urbanski

Republican strategist Liz Mair has made no secret of her distaste for Donald Trump as the Republican presidential nominee, much less the victor in the November general election.

Mair runs an anti-Trump super PAC and has made great efforts to get under the billionaire real estate mogul’s skin.

That said, she had no interest in sugarcoating her never-Trump stance during an interview Wednesday evening with CNN’s Anderson Cooper in which she called Trump a “loudmouthed d**k.”

-- I guess the media ignores facts. --

Well, in this case, the fact of a denial followed from the fact that the press reported a made up story as news.

The press is driving its own agenda, and uses outside input the same way a person on LSD does - to feed hallucinations.

“....according to sources.....”, “....anonymous insiders.....”, and on and on. This is so tiring. The media has no credibility, makes no effort to be accurate.
