Paul Ryan Team: We Can Win Primary Without Donald Trump
Breitbart ^ | August 3, 2016 | Charlie Spiering

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan has not asked for Donald Trump’s endorsement in his Republican primary and expects to win without it, according to his campaign.

“Neither Speaker Ryan nor anyone on his team has ever asked for Donald Trump’s endorsement,” said Zack Roday, a Paul Ryan campaign spokesman. “And we are confident in a victory next week regardless.”

Trump made headlines after he clarified that he was not ready to support Ryan in his primary.

“I never said I’d support him. I’m giving it very serious consideration,” Trump said in an interview with the Washington Post. “I’m not quite there yet.”

Trump appeared to channel Ryan’s own reluctance to endorse the controversial billionaire for president after the Republican presidential primary was essentially over.

Looking forward to next Tuesday. Curious to see how Ryan reacts if he loses. I bet he endorses Hillary afterwards and joins her campaign!

It will definitely be interesting to see what happens. There are a lot of ways you can spin this no matter what the result might be. I suspect that for the next week, the talking heads will be fixated on this.

How can we get Hillary to Endorse Ryan? That would be nail in the coffin.

“If Trump won’t endorse Paul Ryan for re-election. Than I will. I think I could work with Mr. Ryan and the House of Reps.” - Hillary

Paul Ryan tried to play cute and did not support Trump, said he wasn’t there yet. Meanwhile, he is facing a primary with the public fed up with the establishment, well, Paul Ryan is the ESTABLISHMENT.
Now he wants Trump to endorse him!!!

That ole Karma will get you every time.

I’m with you.
I don’t like him, he is too interested in PAUL RYAN to ever be interested in doing the right thing for us.

Cuteness just looks so bad on Paul Ryan.

Yeah, from the attitude of our Congress they don’t need the American voters opinion either. Just do what they want, when they want.

Hey Ryan, your only chance is to have your candidate Hillary go out and campaign for you.

Most likely. It appears that Ryan has a political death-wish like his TPP partner, Ted Cuz and Syrian invasion associate, Hillary Clinton.

It is now (is still! Always was?) Washington DC against local voters and local voter decisions this year.

I would strongly recommend Ryan - who is the vulnerable one right here (not the venerable one) - NOT use Washington insiders to go against Trump. And Washington insiders are all Ryan has going for himself here.

But, then again, it will be better if Ryan does not listen to me. I am supporting those who Ryan opposes, not those who support him (McConnell, Boehner, Hillary, Oboma, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, ....)

This race will be very interesting. For a sitting House Leader - nbr 3 in the nation hierarchy - to even be opposed for re-election in a primary, much less have to be fighting for re-election lest he be voted down in his own party means the local voters are really, really outraged against DC.

I believe that if Trump wins, Trump will make Ryan's life so difficult that Ryan will have to ask for his old job back.

If Ryan should lose the trashing of Trump by the talking liberal consultants will increase to the point of rabid foaming at the mouth lunacy. However, the actual politicians will either endorse Trump or shut their mouths about him.

It depends on how big the win is. If it is razor close he keeps doing the same McCain like back stabs at important moments. If it is big he goes across the aisle and stays there thinking he is the anointed one in 2020. What the dumb little sh&t doesn’t know is by 2020 he will be despised by the base as much as Little Jebbie is and the country will be done already.
