RUSH LIMBAUGH has a new contract with iHEARTMEDIA and PREMIERE NETWORKS. Terms of the new deal were undisclosed beyond a release calling the renewal a "long-term, multi-platform agreement (that) reflects THE RUSH LIMBAUGH SHOW's status as the top program in PREMIERE NETWORKS' industry-leading talk lineup of nationally-syndicated properties, including continuous growth and strong performance in both revenue and OIBDAN." The release cited "significant year-over-year audience growth" and a 20% increase in ad revenue from last year.
“After 28 fulfilling years, I seriously considered moving on to something else, but RICH (BRESSLER, COO/CFO) and BOB (PITTMAN, Chairman/CEO) were very persuasive,” said LIMBAUGH. “I'm thrilled to be continuing. And I really want to be on the air if the Russians find HILLARY's emails.”

Don’t care, I’m not paying for a dime of it because I make a point of avoiding his advertizers.
Like what? He's done TV and disliked it. His last book is 22 years old not counting the formulaic Revere kiddie dreck. YouTubers are a dime a dozen - literally.
I'm sure the even the best gigs get stale after a while but he is a creature of radio and when he leaves - likely after this contract - radio will soon be in dire condition.
Over the last 28 years, Rush has been invaluable in getting Republicans elected.
I think he’s set regardless of who wins.
We’re the ones who can’t afford a loss.

When Rush said that he would never retire, I took him at his word. Now...not so much.

So... Does that mean that Rush will retire / end his show after the four years is up?? Unfortunately I missed most of yesterday's show, so I don't know if he discussed this in detail yesterday. Anyone know the details?
Kind of sad to think the day is coming when there will be no more Rush on the radio every day...

The truly greats love what they do.Rush obviously loves it.It gets in your blood. No matter how much you complain its like a drug. You cant wait until the next opportunity comes around to do some more.
I did some last week supposed to do a five minute segment and we did 30 minutes.
You have to love it.If you do it shows and you either get good or get out.
Rush never said he would never retire . Heck , if I had his money I would of left when Obama was elected .
