Terrifying moments were captured on surveillance video as three gunmen stormed into a market in southeast Houston.
Around 7 p.m. Friday, three masked men dressed in black stormed the Todo Market in the 1500 block of Evergreen Drive near Hemlock, firing shots in the air.
Customers hit the floor and the employees ran for a nearby office and locked the door.
The gunmen kept firing, blasting holes in the door and trying to break down the door but they were not able to get in.
"The guy with the assault rifle.... (his) bullet went inside the ground. I was laying (nearby). It was 6 inches from my body. It was scary. I actually thought I might die today," clerk Noor Kadiwala said.
The gunmen left the store with only a cell phone and wallet stolen from a customer. They got away in a green four-door Mitsubishi SUV. Customers said the vehicle was driven by a white woman
Same thing happened at a grocery store here about 20 yrs. ago.
The perps were stopped by a man in the parking lot with a firearm. First perp out the door he plugged him between the eyes. His two cohorts fled but later turned themselves in to police.
The DA chose not to charge the Good Samaritan, and the local armed robbery rate dropped dramatically.
And what was the pigmentary persuasion of the offenders? (It’s interesting that the driver was described as “white.”)
Must be the ghetto if the grocery store has a locked bulletproof office handy.
I watched the videos, they are all in black wearing gloves, but I saw the back of ones’ neck when he was running into the store and he appeared to be african american to me.
No description of the perps at all except to note the getaway driver was a white woman.
90% of all crime in my city is committed by nonwhites.
Not really all cash offices are locked and hardened.....no matter the store, no matter the location

The perps moved like they were black.

There are a lot of small town stores that do not have such features.
It was one of the white African Americans we hear so much about...................
Democrat DA? They could have charged him with ‘Reckless endangerment’, ‘firing a gun in a residential neighborhood’, ‘possession of a firearm within 10 miles of a church or school’, ‘Excessive use of force’, ‘Impure thoughts on a steamboat landing’, anything..........................
If you live in crime riddled neighborhoods in Memphis, all that passes for grocery stores are those mom/pop gas stations. Most regular grocery stores are in the outer laying sections of Memphis where crime is lower. We just had murder 132 on last night’s news, that does not include all those who will be permanently damaged or are still in the hospital in critical condition from either shootings or stabbings.
Do these fools not know that cell phones can be tracked?
Here in Pittsburgh the city BRIBED a grocery store, with scads of public money, to go back and open a location in a neighborhood the locals burned to the ground in 1968. Even with the heavy subsidy it was a tough sell, and multiple chains pulled out of the deal.

The only long gun was a shotgun. The holes in the door look like they were using breaching slugs, so they obviously knew about the locked security room. Could be they got this intel from an inside source.
