I think the right thing to do would be to stay home. So I think it was a mistake and I don’t know

The thing I don’t get, what did he THINK was going to happen? He should have just stayed home. There was nothing to gain by doing what he did.
It just shows he is somewhat delusional to think he was going to get some kind of magical career lift with that performance.
I’ll never vote for Cornyn again. He’s as bad as Cruz..or worse!
