FBI warned Clinton campaign last spring of cyberattack

The FBI warned the Clinton campaign that it was a target of a cyberattack last March, just weeks before the Democratic National Committee discovered it had been penetrated by hackers it now believes were working for Russian intelligence, two sources who have been briefed on the matter told Yahoo News.

In a meeting with senior officials at the campaign’s Brooklyn headquarters, FBI agents laid out concerns that cyberhackers had used so-called spear-phishing emails as part of an attempt to penetrate the campaign’s computers, the sources said.

One of the sources said agents conducting a national security investigation asked the Clinton campaign to turn over internal computer logs as well as the personal email addresses of senior campaign officials.

But the campaign, through its lawyers, declined to provide the data, deciding that the FBI’s request for sensitive personal and campaign information data was too broad and intrusive, the source said.

I’m surprised she didn’t respond by deleting her emails, and then start lying, sort of a conditioned response to requests from the FBI.

This reads JUST LIKE the repeated “we are scared here in Benghazi” lamentations of Chris Stevens, et al.

MAAAAAAANY times warned the boss —> NOTHING.

Just re-arrange some of the words and it’s virtually the SAME story.

ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL.

seizures, coughing, tongue lesions, falling down, etc.

Funny to think that if anything could be construed as a “security inquiry” it would have been this.

She refused to cooperate with the FBI yet nothing has happened to her.

You try to refuse to cooperate with the FBI and I can guarantee you’d be prosecuted and/or locked up.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MY COUNTRY?

If this is true, one thought is the Clintonites did not trust Obama's FBI and DoJ.

It’s also funny that her reaction repeats itself over and over. It’s like you might learn a lesson over some stupid action in your past, and you continue to repeat the mistake.

I had no idea. :-) But I did a google and here is what I got

“Spear phishing is an email that appears to be from an individual or business that you know. But it isn’t. It’s from the same criminal hackers who want your credit card and bank account numbers, passwords, and the financial information on your PC.”

Bad Judgement! Just like Trump says.

How ironic...she wants nobody to see what she was up to and so it becomes available to everybody.

With apologies to Albert Einstein...

There are 3 things that are infinite - the Universe, human stupidity, and Hillary Clinton’s incompetence.

Tongue lesions?

Not gonna do it, wouldn’t be prudent...

Why did the FBI have occasion to know the Clinton Campaign was being “spear phished”? Were the monitoring her campaign’s web activities in conjunction with the other investigations regarding Clinton?

Does the FBI just willy nilly monitor the web activities of a political campaign? Are they doing it with Trump or other political candidates?
