Not all of them. The first Jews in what is now the United States arrived in 1654. Many participated in the American Revolution.
Unfortunately, most of these "old order Sefaradim" were actually very liberal (almost proto-"Reform") and most of them intermarried and disappeared from history.
Correction--I think there were Jews here before 1654, actually. Certainly Asher Levy of New Amsterdam was there before then.
